Hey happy to hear that ya enjoyed it. That is really my only "issue" w/ this island section as a lot of areas look very similar so yea prison like setting all over the place. As for her swimsuit section, it's not like it can be skipped or anything so yea it'd be there when it's the time for it.. gonna be real painful dealing w/ Zaibatsu ninjas barehanded though lol.

I do plan to make more montages at least for this normal playthrough while I explore and learn more about the game and the character. I've played the game a few times over the years in all difficulties and even went for both new game and new game plus for harder modes. Mostly was thinking of this normal playthrough as a way of re-familiarizing myself back w/ how the game is to prep for potential FreeStyle videos in Extreme difficulty. So rest assured there will be more of these montages in the future as I do want to do my best to showcase this game in case anyone else is curious about it but is on the fence about it. That is the major reason in general not just specific to DBD as to why I even started w/ this YT thing and sharing stuff even though for the longest time I mostly kept it to myself and also if my quality is very much potato tier lol. Thank you very much, I'm happy to hear that you've enjoyed these montages so far and while I personally wouldn't call myself at that level, I am honoured to hear that :)

Those 3 are some good choices. While I'm not a big fan of Nina herself but she does well w/ pretty much every outfit in this game. If I were to pick a favourite then it'd either be the first dress/cocktail dress or the very last battle suit. Honourable mention to the Tekken 2 low poly outfit as well in terms of aesthetics. Also would've loved to have the diving suit available as well lol maybe a modder in the future can figure that out.

​@@ship05u Turns out you'll also like Nina in a cocktail outfit, and I also like which outfit shows off Nina's figure. Same goes for the swimsuit.

Thank you, you're very kind. Nina's 'basic abilities' and the 'melee stance' movelist are very good. I'm still hoping to showcase more of them when I unlock more moves as well. Funnily enough I'm running into the issue of enemies dying too quickly lol. She's really good w/ the weapons too even if it's more limited compared to the prior mentioned movelists, it's still a nice addition to her moveset overall.

Wonderful comment and Thank you :) Hopefully in the future I can make a better showcase w/ more of the moveset unlocked. I do agree w/ the game overall being in a much better state if it controlled more like action games even at it's time (NG04, OG DMC, Bujingai) but perhaps the devs wanted to take some risks and try their hand at something different. It obviously didn't work out for majority of the players. I will say that even as the controls as they are in the game it's not in an unplayable state or anything but rather moreso inaccessible requiring quite some playtime to get going. I understand that's a hard thing to ask from someone if they're already fighting w/ controls from get go as it is quite unorthodox and frankly weird lol. It's mostly an experimental side game of Tekken that surprisingly has quite the ambition and the budget to it so I can't even say they half assed it or anything. It feels more like a case of creative risks were taken but failed in their execution as well as they hoped for. I can still respect that. A modern remake is what I hear the very rare few fans of this cult classic have been asking for a long time and I can see this game's potential more realized w/ such while having the streamlined control scheme most players are used to and a fully free form camera (though oddly enough this game does mostly have that but in it's own weird way as well).

Hi there. That's a very good question and frankly I'd say the answer to it is complicated but I'll keep it short here. If you're having problems w/ the control scheme of this game then that'd very obviously be a huge deterrent. It took me a while to get used to it. It was on my hard playthrough where I think I learned about em much more. As for the game's quality itself? It's a mixed bag w/ my number one issue being the loading times strangely enough. Game has a lot of cool things going for it but also against it too. However, if you're someone who likes beat em ups, fixed/dynamic chase camera, interconnected level design and likes Nina Williams/Tekken then sure go for a normal run.

@@ship05u interesting. I love Tekken yeah but not really a Nina fan. How is the moveset? Do we get multiple combo strings, pause combos etc? Might be difficult to implement with the analogue stick tbh. Are load times long even on PCSX2?

@@sultanhayabusa2779 The moveset is good enough. Hand to hand stance, guns and melee weapons combined. Yes there's combo strings but they work very differently and they seem to be direction based as well so say you're facing one direction then start attacking other then you get a different string than what you'd normally get attacking in the facing direction. There are pause combos for each of that kinda directional string and I think each weapon also works like that too. So there's strings galore over here. There's command normal moves as well but only accessible in Hand to Hand stance. Now the stance switching is in the game but it requires Nina to be in 'free state' aka not in any active move or recovery. Usually I go for stance swapping while dodging. There's also environmental usage, parrying inc attacks, gauge based finisher move which can multi hit if timed and positioned correctly which also gives her I frames, gauge can be used for strings that have I frames and cannot be interrupted which can be handy in dealing w/ a lot of enemies at once, gauge also gives headshots or critical hits for gunshots and gauge can be used for melee weapon special kills which will destroy the weapon durability. She also has 4s Dante TS recovery from taking damage in air or rising up attacks, throw breaks, 360 moves, dodge moves including a dodge throw that's reminds me of Ryu's Guillotine throw. Oh and throws. A SHIT LOT of throws. This chick is a grappler extreme and they are pretty fun but risky against multiple enemies even then the throws can multi hit in an AOE. There's also a very basic stealth system that I just don't even bother really. There is A LOT going on and enemies esp on hard mode will start pushing ya to know more and more about your moveset and character. I kinda want to get good enough to showcase some of the more cool stuff in a proper 'FreeStyle' vid in the future. With all the abilities unlocked and what not but that's not much of a big deal as doing well in combat gives shit ton of skill points from early on so it's not even much of a grind. I was able to unlock most of the available starting moveset just by doing well in combat and earning a high combo score from the tutorial fight alone and got myself going w/ these clips :) As for loading times, it's not that they're long in PCSX2 but rather it's quite frequent. I suppose it's trying too hard to be like that old school RE in a lot ways but annoyingly the door loading screen is one thing I wish it didn't go for but the environments for a PS2 game are pretty big enough for those loading times so I can somewhat overlook it but it's still a pain though.

Another hand to hand combat banger on the PS2, try that on PCSX2 if you haven't already, better in co op tbh but solo still fun

I'm by no means any expert at the game as I'm revisiting it after a year or more but I think some form of showcase for these kinda games can do well for people who may be interested in em but not very sure about em. Chase Summers is who'd I'd shoutout for the Nina game. They still seem to be uploading so check em out for Expert mode playthroughs if you need more reference.
