First Encounters - Deer Season 2024 - I flanked two deer.
Hey everyone, thanks for clicking on my video.
It's the 2024 deer season in southern Ontario. I LOVE this time of year. Last year it was still 30 degrees Celsius and I was getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. This year it's been around 10 degrees, no bugs, nice rainy days, and fall colours. I've seen one buck as of today on the trail cam, but nothing to write home about. I have some more hunting videos coming as well as some trip videos we've been on this fall.
Thanks for watching, and please subscribe.

Grand River Running
Переглядів 118Місяць тому
Hey everyone, thanks for clicking on my video. This was probably one of the last trips that my dad and I will do in the Grand River. Even though we were trying to fish, we ended up seeing a lot of cool wildlife. Fishing wasn't hot, but it was still a pretty enjoyable run. Thanks for watching, and please subscribe.
Bluegill ATTACKS me - I found the spawning grounds of some big mature bluegills
Переглядів 2,5 тис.2 місяці тому
Hey everyone, thanks for clicking on my video. This is a little different than my previous videos, but it's still pretty neat. These are big bluegill. Ontario's record (according to google) is just under two pounds. We have caught them at 1.5lbs in these ponds, which are not considered Ontario waters since they are private ponds. Regardless, they're a bit of a fiesty fish in their spawnning bed...
Algonquin FULL VIDEO - 3 Nights, 34km, I packed too much

Hello everyone, thanks for clicking on my video. You may have seen my two individual videos of this trip, but I finally got around to making it one large video for those who like the longer trip videos. I really enjoyed making this video and there will be more like this on my page eventually. However, I'll be a little more focused on my fishing videos and wildlife videos until September. I will...
The SOUND of a GREY CATBIRD
Переглядів 563 місяці тому
Hello everyone, A bit of a throw off video today, but still a great capture. Grey catbirds are very common throughout Ontario, and sometimes I genuinely do think it’s a cat until I see a little grey bird. Very neat little bird. Thanks for watching my video, see you on the next one.
Crownland Camping - Had to Fish for Dinner Because We Messed Up

This was one of our best trips yet. Lots of wildlife and fishing was great. It’s turning into an annual trip, but probably my last trip for a bit. Thanks for watching! Please subscribe and I’ll see you on the next one.
2 Nights interior ALGONQUIN backcountry - Learning things the hard way
Переглядів 4884 місяці тому
Hello everyone, thanks for watching my video. This was a very challenging trip only for the fact of how much I over packed. Lesson learned for sure. It was still a great trip though. I will definitely be back, with less gear. The 590m portage is what really did me in on my second day, so I paced myself on my way out and it worked out in my favourite, cutting down the time significantly. Still w...
2 Nights in ALGONQUIN backcountry - Learning what NOT to do
Переглядів 7215 місяців тому
Hello everyone, thanks for clicking on my video. I’m so excited to get this new content out to you. It’s been fun rewatching and editing this trip so far. The last clip, the spring peepers dominated the audio, but I basically just said that I was going to bed. This trip was an emotional rollercoaster. This first day was an easy start, but ended up being the calm before the storm. I canoed from ...
Solo camping with Milo on the Farm

Hello everyone, thanks for clicking on my video! I am excited about this one because it was basically a test run for a bigger trip coming up! I will be announcing it very soon on a future video. This trip was fun, and it was my first time really utilizing my tripod for cool shots. I love how it turned out, and I even got to use my own guitar playing for some fishing clips. This is my wife's fam...
Booth's Rock Trail - ALGONQUIN PROVINCIAL PARK (two hours)
Переглядів 1836 місяців тому
Hello everyone, thanks for clicking on my video. This was late August of 2023, and it was all planned only the week before. We got super lucky in getting site #156 in Raccoon Lake campground. This site is by the far most private and secluded. It does not feel like you are car camping because it is two-tiered. Where you park your car is one campsite, but there is a path down to the water that ha...
New Bunkie + Trying out my own music
Переглядів 1107 місяців тому
Hey everyone, got a real quick one today. I was just messing around with some still tripod shots while getting the first ever bunkie footage up on my page. It'll be a fun place this summer for sure! I've got some big news coming soon, so please subscribe and see you on the next one. Also, this is my own guitar playing. Not sure how exactly I feel about it yet, but let me know how you like it. Thank you for sharing buddy! I hope you get a big one my friend!
Thanks man! It wasn’t anything special but just the fact that I snuck up on some made me stoked 😂
Best Dino Birds Of Prey 1:14
I bet you were shaking in your boots!😂 She's gorgeous!
Thanks for the review man. Keep on havin fun out there
Crazy turtle fight 😨
Yeah we actually had to call the police to get them separated.
@@ZackStubbington I did see that on the news ! Apparently one snapped at the police but was quickly apprehended
@@Stubbbbbbb they had to put him in a prison shell for the night
Interesting that the Bluegill do not see you as a predator and flee. Are there Bluegill predators in these waters?
@@michaelrussell4894 nope. Snapping turtles are their only predators here. Maybe some LM bass but they don’t get too big here either. Private ponds will do that
Amazing video!
Thank you! I appreciate that. I kind of post a bit of everything 👍🏼
thanks for the video. trying it out this weekend.
@@BlehBleh0 one of my best camping purchases by far. 👍🏼
@@ZackStubbington update: what a life saver this thing is. Now, to find a device to remind me that camping in Florida during the summer is absolutely miserable 😂
@@BlehBleh0 that’s great man! 😂 I don’t think I’d ever try Florida. Northern Ontario is it for me
Hopefully you learned a lot about the failures of your hunt
@@craighanson2983 always learning. I don’t think we ever stop learning, that’s why it’s fun.
The bird calls in the background are also blue jays doing their alarm call, it’s funny how when one animal hears another animal’s alarm, they can react to it
@@PerryWinkle111 that’s a really cool observation. I wouldn’t have picked that up on my own. Thank you!
Great video man!
Thanks man! Appreciate it
Packing too much is just par for the course. It takes allot of trips to get everything dialed into where you know exactly how much, and more importantly, what gear, you need to bring on a trip. I'm definitely with you on the hammock though... ground camping is always a stiff game for me also...
@@canadianehbignorth7325 haha I’m glad I’m not the only one. Yeah even with a thermarest it still feels like I’m sleeping on a cutting board. Hammock camping in preferred now for sure
I’ve got my back country packing to a place I really like and would love to share some suggestions if you’re interested.
For sure man, honestly this is just the beginning for me. I’ve got lots to learn
Nice vid 🦌
Fantastic video. Thanks for sharing. 👍1
Hey Stubby welcome to Algonquin tripping. Guess you're a long way from being Kevin Callan. But we all have to start somewhere .Look forward to a trip where you pursue speckles or lakers
Amazing video. Thanks for sharing. subd & 👍13
Nice vid Zack! Keep up the good work 👍🏻🦌
This was amazing!!!!!
I love this!!!
Snot flew 😄🦌
That deer looks like it has later stage rabies
Good stuff! Nice waterfalls and a nice catfish catch ✌🏻🦌
Beautiful,,there’s nice brook trout up their,,
Hermooosaaaa ciieerva.❤😊😊
Did the 11 car win
Honestly man this was quite a while ago so I’m not sure
Nice vid 👍🏻🦌
Thanks man! Appreciate the feedback 👍🏼
Is the kayak paddle better?
honestly, it was a last second decision because I forgot my usual paddle. With that being said, I am glad I did buy it because it definitely helped against wind on wider lakes that had a head wind. I'll probably use it from now on when facing open lakes.
Nice vid! 🦌
The real sounds of freedom . Not some white bird imitation
Awesome ❤
This is awesome!!! Milo did a good job recording you walking through the woods at the beginning, 🤣🤣
Great shot on your deer 🦌 and awesome footage
Very cool Zack! Where’s the guitar? Lol 🦌
Thank you! I wasn’t too happy with the sound in my minute long video so until I can find a better way to record I’ll refrain for now 😜
Very nice ! Thanks for sharing that Zack beautiful !
Awesome job, I bet you were on pins and needles looking for that beautiful buck 👍
Nice job. Fender? 🦌
No actually, Robson and a yeti mic lol. Not exactly how I wanted it to turn out, but I posted it anyway
Old yellow jitterbug works well in Central Florida, I have many colors/patterns but yellow is my number one 👍🎣 nice video! Tight lines.
I would LOVE to do some fishing in Florida for real. Really appreciate you checking out my video.
Great video man!
That looks like a beauty spot! I bet those trout tasted amazing
Oh man, it was my first time cooking fish like that over a fire. Such a good decision 😂
Good job Zack! Enjoyed the video 🦌
great video man!
Thanks man! Still working on the angles, but it was definitely an eventful couple of days 👍🏼
That was very cool my friend! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks man, just subbed to your channel as well. 👍🏼
Nice deer show entrance and exit wound. How far was the shot.
Yeah, I wish I had. Exit wound was a little further back but it was my first time recording a hunt, and only my third buck ever. I’ll get better as I get more comfortable hunting with camera gear. He was at about 25 yards
@@ZackStubbington thank you. Good luck.
I was going on my back porch to look for some food in the freezer around 10:30 and heard this, I could only see 2 front legs but it was like it was blurry, thought it was a coyote at first but saw this and found out it was a deer.
The sound I hear literally every time I hunt
Saw a doe today heard her make that sound multiple times once or twice my direction but also at different directions so not sure if it was truly me or something else 🤷
I love your videos and come to my house
Nice load out! Solid pike brother!!
Thanks man! Oddly enough I’ve never pulled anything bigger out in that particular spot after a couple years of going there. Idk why they’re just a tad smaller there but still lots of fun to catch 👍🏼
