Where did you get the paper please
Hi from UK. Where do you get that type of paper? It's amazing.
Damn dude! You can see those shoes from space!
Thank you for helping me during this difficult time. The best video I’ve found!
Very interesting. A beautiful stone sweet to have the whole family all included, how precious.
Thank you!
The women must be relatives as they watch the expensive ledger placed over their loved ones grave for eternity. It is a final tribute to the deceased's final resting place and will be viewed for decades.
We are all relatives! This was my grandmother's stone. Installed it with my father and uncle while the women in the family visited.
Can we use a CNC machine for engraving rather than sandblasting?
Look up a sand handler
Near prince albert
Thanks for sharing this video. Do you have a method of painting directly into the etched granite? I'd like to know if there is such a formula that would adhere to the unpolished granite. Again, thanks
My dads was quite expensive.. it was about $5,000.000 and something plus taxes
The truck and toolbox and motorcycle done with a laser engraver? Looks amazing! Thx
So what is the 'mud' thing you're doing? That just fills the already painted letters so you can take the shine off that interior area? Where did you learn how to do all this? Trial and error, some type of training? Thinking of starting something similar.
what is the mud for?
Protects the paint in the letters when we sandblast a frosted panel, or frosted carving
@Parker-Monuments Interesting, we frost the panels before engraving the letters. Always cool to see different ways this work is done.
@@jimmyrifle Gotcha, so you stick a stencil down twice then?
@Parker-Monuments yeah we use two different rubbers
@@jimmyrifle Gotcha
please advise what paint do you use to do color engravings
We use a product called lithochrome. It's designed for use on headstones and comes in many colors. God bless
Great video! I love all the monuments in the cemetery where I work. A thing I’ve learned about the marble is they are fragile and chip easily, I much prefer the granite stones. We install tons of markers all the time and prep the ground for all the upright monuments, it’s one of my favorite tasks in the cemetery. Happy Saturday to you and thanks for sharing this informative video!
Thanks for the kind words! We definitely prefer granite as well for its durability. God bless
Suggestion: when doing your porcelain pictures rather be or oval, line your pictures up where you want them, take ink pen trace around picture, then take your knife and on outside of line drawn cut .10 line out leaving stencil in, sandblast exposed line down a little less than one - eighth then pull stencil off, blow down depth you want so picture can be mounted flush in monument. You won't have the little curved around edge the picture will set in a lot better.
I've seen that technique, and nothing wrong with it. We tend to measure the photo, let the plotter cut the oval, and blast it all at once. We caulk around our photo so none of the recess is visible anyway. Just quicker this way. I had to blast a large 3/8" deep recess for a tile insert once into hard black granite and blasting the surrounding line first and then the main portion would have saved time there I believe in hindsight.
I never used caulk, plotter was okay for square pictures but oval was just off on permaframe pictures. Used akemi glue mixture in center of picture and green seal around outside edge. Picture seal solid without caulk showing.
I haven't heard of those products, we use tenax brand epoxy on the photo and we use caulk that our monument supply dealer recommended, I forget the brand. @@MikeBerryman-ph5df
Been watching your videos, my right arm is wore watching you hand blow your stones
Lol!
Beautiful work.
Thank you!
I’d like an outdoor columbarium for my parents. It would be on a pedestal with a special tempered glass around all 4 sides Big enough for urns some photos and tokens. It would set just behind my 2 baby brothers in ground headstones that my father made many years ago. It’s our family cemetery in Carroll Country, VA. I’ve often wondered about the cost of that or even possibly making it myself.
Hello, we’d love to help! Please email us at parkermonuments@gmail.com or call us at 919-217-0350. Thanks!
I’m poor
Me too. So I went with Neptune Society. They pick up, do cremation, issue death certificate. Very very basic, no service. Total cost $3,300. I’m 65 and have no family, so this was perfect for me.

RIP Walter. You were taken too soon at a time of year that should be filled with joy, not grief.
