Sean's Lasers with some original tunes.
Переглядів 492 роки тому
(Warning does contain some flashing lasers people with epilepsy may not want to watch.) Experimenting in my back room with a little live laser show to some of my original experimental music with one hand while I try to take the video with my phone in the other. Because of the brightness of the lasers, the phone camera resolution is thrown off a bit.

Jane keyboard drum test
Переглядів 765 років тому
This is a test of the piano part I played and layered into Abelton Live of the song Jane I then loaded into my sampler and thought I would play along. First time playing the song I know the drum part is not correct yet. This is just a test for the band I am playing in to also hear the piano part.
Blinded by the light test

Layering down keyboard tracks in Ableton live so I can play them from behind the drumset.

Get'em Frankie!
Went to HS with center snare. 😂
Think my parents were dating during this time. I wasn't cooking just yet.
clean but where is Kevin feldser?
This is the version I remember learning
C L E A N!!
The day the decision was made to determine show creation revolved completely around WGI-style vignettes doomed the music to McNugget chopped segments. I miss shows like this.
/me bows head
It’s crazy how front ensemble is back then compared to today. By my count, 2 perc, Timpani, 2 vibes, 2 glocks, 2 marimbas, 2 xylos? Today more like 1 perc, 1 timpani, 5 marimbas, 5 vibes, 1 xylos, 2 synths, with racked glocks, xylos.
we did that 8's warmup in highschool - now i know where its from
This was such a groundbreaking drumline back then....they really raised the bar of drumming that year
Am I the only one who is surprised by how they push the tempo? Like: Roger taps off faster, but only the last two beats. Then everyone comes in (slower) at the previous tempo and they push to the faster tempo over the next few bars. Maybe this is the genisis of the infamous gap?
Back when bass drums were still tuned like bass drums and had impact. Nowadays bottom bass is tuned like a 3rd bass drum.
8:50
Now everyone can enjoy how long rehearsal day warmups can feel 😆 excellent drumming! Snare line is blowing me away.
Splooie!!!!!!
hey was dave leonard in this corp?
10:28
Thanks, I wish there were more videos, I think I have one photo from that summer. I miss these guys, solid men, and Pony.
Jesus. Those snares are playing THROUGH the drum.
Yes they're very good!
Love this show! That 1999 PBS special changed my life
Wholesome interaction at the McDonald's. Nice touch with the cigarette. I kind of miss those days!
That hornline..... Jesus
What an amzing year.... the corps was a beast
Ditty is at 18:04
18:10 They shake hands like what??
I marched about 20 years after this but as a music educator there's something incredibly fascinating to me about watching these old rehearsals.
The University of Georgia Drumline, PASIC show.
the way those snares with the tuning sound like their YELLING at you when it starts w/ f-tuning in the back... a true drum corps show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good call & hap birf day DITTY!!!!
My brother is the first tenor
BD drums in the 90s was such a vibe. Just raw violent and mechanically precise drumming. Bring it back!!
Beautiful pure drum corps!
snare on far right resting his elbow on invisible countertop
Do you have the entire competition video? Lost mine from HS.
30 years ago.... i was 3. 🫣
It would be cool if we could get this video remastered 😊.
Lmao they were just waiting until the cadence to shred!
This is so awesome, the 03 one was getting a little stale
The snare break is so sexy
The is the most Blue Devils Blue Devils I've ever known
Fabulous video from the best era in DCI ❤
Ahhhh those times when the drum was heavier than your own bed :’)
Parking lot shows were the worst and so terrible for your knees.
15:22 cleanest note/shot ever
I'm curious why is it that the tenor players always feel that they have to stick their necks out forward when they play ?
