Old timers used to run the left brush in a circle around the snare. To get the off-beat, you can hop the right brush forwards abd back over top of the circling brush. It gives a long unbroken tone.

I would suggest to you that maybe the partition plan of ‘47 wasn’t actually all that fair? Insofar as it resulted in Palestinians being ethnically cleansed from their land (750,000 relocated forcibly by Zionist terror groups and 15,000 killed in the process). Beyond that just some basic religion vs ethnicity stuff, I don’t know why so many people make this mistake but I think it’s because schools don’t teach basic historical concepts accurately. Jewish Canaanites are the original inhabitants of the land, modern day descendants of Canaanites are Palestinians, Israelis, most Jewish people, Lebanese and Jordanians, with the Palestinians and Israelis (as well as most Jewish people) sharing an equal amount of relation to the Canaanites. The reason why Palestinians are considered indigenous is simply due to the fact that they are the descendants of Jewish Canaanites who switched faiths at some point (in some cases they didn’t actually, before Israel 3% of Palestinians were Jewish, literally Jewish Palestinians, most of whom made up a 1/3 of the population of Jerusalem along with Christian and Muslim Palestinians), and because of localization, Palestinians lived most of their history in Palestine, longer than any group actually. As for the victims of this conflict, I think it’s fair to say that Palestinians have had terrible leadership, from being violent to corrupt and exploitative etc etc. but this isn’t surprising considering the context, Palestinians live under occupation of an ethnostate. So many Palestinian deaths need to happen for Israel to simply maintain itself, I just don’t think this is a reasonable cost. If you are of the persuasion that the Palestinians ‘bought it on themsleves’ by having bad leadership I’d implore you to consider the following. 1) Palestinians didn’t start this, neither did the Zionists to be fair. But it’s certainly the case that the Palestinians did t ask to be invaded by migrants who believed they had a birth right to land that was already lived on. The international community messed up bad and Palestinians had to deal with it. 2) the Palestinians don’t owe you good leadership. This just extends my first point. The Palestinians don’t need to produce a MLK or a Mandela to the international community inorder to convince the world that they are deserving of rights. The international community should just assume they are deserving of rights and work on protecting said rights. I think the problem with a 2 state solution is that it’s not really 2 states, it’s one big state asserting control over a smaller state held together loosely by a volatile coalition where neither the gazans or West Bank inhabitants can work together and both end up needing to tolerate a certain level of unconditional military occupation. In other words a codification of the status quo. It’s quite clear that no state or group of people would agree to this sort of deal and yet we expect Palestinians to. How you think about the conflict is important too, like I think the majority of people would look at the Oslo deal for example and think “wow, that’s the best deal that could possibly be offered to a colonial group tolerated by the indigenous group”. Of course most supporters of Israel would argue that Palestinians aren’t indigenous and Israel isn’t settler colonial, but of course none of that is particularly convincing considering the impact that Israel has over the land and the Palestinians in particular. I hope you see where my support for Palestine comes from. I don’t imagine that your position is based on malice or ignorance, I’m sure it comes from a place of genuine concern and care. Given Israel’s historic and consistent call for Israel to be a exclusively Jewish state (that can tolerate a 20% Arab population as a relatively good 2nd class citizens) I think the characterization of Israel as a ‘ethnostate’ is both reasonable and accurate, I simply can’t support that, especially given the steep price Palestinians continue to pay for the existence of this state.

Is it me ? I think it lacks a rhythm guitar or piano. And the violin constantly doubling the vocal is tedious. Choosing such obscure numbers isn't helping either .. I dunno ! Sumptin is weak.. Oh ! Wait ! A piano player just showed at 11:20.. Let's see...It's like an old movie score.. Not the way we're used to the jazziness of today.. It's like: "Dorothy, just click your heels together and repeat :There's no place like home..There's no place like ........." She sings very well, but the arrangements are stuffy.. too operatic for the "G A Song Book".. Sorry. I won't give it a thumbs down or up..Maybe a conductor and some horns.. Wha ? I dunno.....🤔
