I really like your sweater. What pattern is this? I have some coobo & am looking for a fairly simple powder. Thank you for the tutorial. I enjoyed it.
Very pretty bag. Do you have the tutorial?
I have :) You can find it here - ua-cam.com/video/ySpdryFv_pY/v-deo.htmlsi=OqtGW0F0ULcp8XOv
@@CosyRosieCrochet Thanks very much!
Thank you Rosie, I have watched your video over and over again.... and am now trying my first beanie, with your video on play and pause. Not sure how it will turn out, but thanks to you, I have more of an idea. Not sure on how many rows to do, so I will wing it.
when doing a longer chain do you use the row beginning and ending 2dc in stich through out or do you only do so on the end stiches?
It's just on the end of the row where you will work those 2 dc. Chain multiples of 10 such as 30, 50, 200 - you will then add 4 more chains to the end of that chain to follow the tutorial and repeat the first section to the end, where you will work the 2 dc
Hi! Thank you for this tutorial. It’s so well explained. I’ve made my panels and they are just joined together with stitch markers and I’m fairly certain my hot water bottle won’t fit. I just tried to fit it in and it’s popping stitch markers. The pieces are narrower than the bottle. When I google it though it seems a pretty standard size hot water bottle (I thought I could just buy a smaller one to fit this cover). Should I go around the edges of each piece with single crochets to widen them before stitching? Or any other suggestions? 🥲 thank you!
Adding a few rounds of singles would work very well to add some extra width. So pleased you enjoyed the tutorial ☺
@@CosyRosieCrochetthank you so much for replying! I think I’ll finish the pattern as intended and find a smaller hot water bottle, then maybe make another one with a longer starting chain as you suggested to another person who commented. 🥰🥰🥰
@@CosyRosieCrochetjust letting you know I found a smaller hot water bottle in a store right near me that fits like a glove - 700ml. So I just finished the cover and going to test it out tonight! Thanks again.
@@sarahpointing110 fabulous! Let me know how the 2nd one works up :)
My chart is 41 stitches across, so do I multiple it by 3, and add one more stitch
Do you mean 41 blocks across? If so, you also need to add the 1st stitch of the row so you would do 41 x 3 for the chain, plus 3 ch for the 1st stitch which doesn't show on the chart, plus 1 for the foundation chain - hope that helps :)
This video is a lifesaver to me about to start this project at 1am lol also you have such a nice voice!!
Yay! Thank you! ps. that's the best time to start a new project!
It was great to meet you both on the Sunday.
And you! I loved all the chatting!
Can i use fingering weight yarn with this pattern?
You can indeed! Your project will come out a lot smaller, but you can continue to work the repeat to achieve the finished size you'd like
Thank you so much!
Im confused, i thought Treble is yarn over 2 times, and double Treble is yarn over 3 times
In US terms you are correct that at treble would wrap the yarn twice. This video uses UK terms - sorry for any confusion
@@CosyRosieCrochet thanks
😍 😍 😍
So glad you had a wonderful time!
Wow all so beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching ☺
Sounds like you had a blast. So many pretty things in your videos 😍🤩
It really was great fun! I'm so pleased with all my purchases too
All the yarn looks lovely with amazing colours. Sorry about your experience in the overnight stay, it’s so nice to stay somewhere quiet and clean with good food. Ampthil is on my list and hope to be attending. Also I hope you carry on with all the hard work you put on here and, your work is amazing ie content, teaching and listening to what you have to say about the yarn world. Much appreciated. Thank you!!!
Hopefully we will bump into each other at Ampthill!
Do you have a link for your wooden hook holder tray please?
@@sandraouaguena3292 you can find it here shrsl.com/4ankr 😊
@@CosyRosieCrochet thank you!!
That was some great yarn you had. I can't wait to see the Bobbiny bag. And I loved the ice cream shade yarn - good enough to eat! I've never been to a wool festival before and being right down the bottom of the country I don't know if there are any near me, but I think I would spend a fortune there! Those hand dyed yarns...............lush!
There are so many yarn shows across the country - if you're near Newberry, there is the Southern Wool Show - www.southernwoolshow.co.uk/
Beautiful pattern and I love my cardigan. It was a pleasure to make and test this pattern. Thank you so much!! I had many compliments when I wore mine out. ❤😊
You were such a help and a great pattern tester - I loved how your cardigan turned out!
Good morning 🌄 thank you for this great video.
You are so welcome
Very pretty
Thank you so much :)
I'll watch this one later... Just commented on the other one I watched... My size and now a left-handed video?! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 EVEN MORE RARE!!! (if you haven't guessed, I'm left-handed LoL)
YAY!
Perfect for me!!! That almost never happens!!!🎉🎉🎉 Thank you 🎉🎉🎉
Fabulous your crochet 💝🤍💖 Thank you so much
You’re welcome 😊
Just found your channel and subscribed because of the artbin review ( i am looking at one and wanted reviews). Stuck around to see the Etimo section. I purchased one Rose hook 2.5mm and fell in love and slowly replaced all my hooks with Etimo Rose hooks a year ago. The way they move through yarn but still allow me to have complete control is unmatched by any other brand of hook. As a man with rather large hands I love how they ft in my hand. They are the best investment I have ever made in my craft and hand health. Oh and I too love doilies and the etimo lace hook set is amazing especially with the dual tone of the hook. The tip being gold is helpful when working with with crochet/embroidery thread. Thanks for sharing all your fun content with us!
Lovely to have you here! I know just what you mean about finding a hook that you love - they gradually all get replace. I have a full set now, but need to get another 4mm as I am forever loosing it!
How to weave in the ends😭
Row 4 stitch count is incorrect.. there are 9 increases .. so the row ends with 69.. not 68 Sorry...OCD...
Thank you for letting me know - I can't edit the video but I double check the written version and pop a pinned post for the updated count on here :)
Nice compilation. I added a few to my wish list
Awesome, thank you!
Very pretty bags
Glad you like them!
if there wasn't # stitch for finish size, it's Cluster. how can I do the calculation? Thanks.
That's a good question! You can count how many clusters you have inside your 4"/10cm instead of the stitches. So, if you have 4.5 clusters per 4", you would multiply that by your finished size = 1.125 times 38" = 42.75 clusters - and round up to the near nearest number of finished clusters. Hope that helps
@@CosyRosieCrochet Thank You very much for your help♥♥♥
Beautiful bags! Thank you for sharing them! I really like the last one! It would be a great beach bag!
Me too - It's such a great size!
I love this tutorial, u explain things so clearly and dont skip over a section and actually count out your stitches so i know im doing it right i hope u get more recognition heart❤ now i got a comfy egg pillow
Your comment has made my day - thank you!
Love this btw. If im adapting. What would be the multiples for the chain please or does it not matter ?
You can just make the chain as long as the height of your tea pot and it will work perfectly :)
Thank you
I’ve made a shawl in the twister, I love the yarn and I’m just finishing one in blue fading to grey. The ombré effect on all the colours is beautiful.
They all work up so beautifully don't they!
So I would like to both size down my yarn and hook. How in the hell would I do that?! I looooove this pattern but dont want it to be as "see through" as it is so I figured I could size down the hook. I didn't realize that the pattern calls for a weight of 4 but I would like to create this with a 3. So instead of a yarn weighted at 4, I have 3 and inastead of a 3.5mm hook, I'm using a 2.5mm. Is this possible?
Once you have your gauge swatch stitched up, you can calculate the size to follow - Apologies for the late reply on this - I answered your message on Facebook
This is such a good pattern! I love how quickly it worked up. I will def be using this pattern for any Tree Skirts I crochet.
Fab - love that you're thinking ahead for the Holiday's already!
Thank you very much for this tutorial. You've obviously been reading my comments on every single garments designers I follow. I'm in Australia and rarely need even an 8 ply garment. This is the clearest tutorial I've ever seen. Again thank you very much. 👍👍🐨🦘
I have pattern testers based in Australia and they've raised the issue of lack of choice in that yarn weight, which is what prompted the video to find an easier way to switch to a different yarn weight.
@@CosyRosieCrochet Thank you very much.
I’ve subscribed as I think you are good at teaching thank you I’m in Scotland 🏴
Awesome! Thank you you much!
Just what I was looking for lovely thank you!
❤I am excited to try this
Have fun!
I absolutely love the Fonty Tartan yarn you shared. Green is my favorite color and those colors you showed will be beautiful in a sweater. I am still plugging away on my Cable and Crossed cardigan and started my last sleeve yesterday. I have to admit that I am not looking forward to stitching it all together, but am determined to finish it in June. I have been enjoying making it, but life has gotten in the way of finishing it more quickly. I think I will just be making dishcloths in July and August. I have patterns in mind and I think I will make at least a couple using Tunisian crochet to practice that a bit. I definitely slow down my crocheting in the summertime. Your trip to Bordeaux sounded lovely.
The Cable & Crossed cardi is a BIG project - that's why I encourage people to work at their own pace - I like how you've paced it out to your own timeline and and can see the finish line already! The warmer weather does make crochet a little more challenging - but making a useable project to practice stitches is a great way to fill the weeks before the weather turns. The trip was lovely, wished it could have been longer - but I always feel like that haha
They are beautiful
I can't wait to get working with them!
Thank you for introducing me to High Desert Yarn! I live a bit up the road from Joanna. I'm excited to watch and learn about the project using that beautiful Rose colorway. I'll start my cash stash now.
Isn't it great how small the world seems when it comes to crafting! I can not wait to share all the ideas and projects for this yarn - I'm still staring at it and those lovely colours!
The Autumn Poppy looks so gorgeous 😍 I love a vibrant orange but haven't been brave enough to try it on a garment yet. 🧡🩷💜
It's it just beautiful! I am going to have to be brave one day and use some for a garment. Love those hearts - I don't have those colour choices on my emojis 😐
I want to make a top down sweater this year. Not got a pattern yet... The shows sound amazing
Top down does give the impression that they are easier to create a custom fit, but I need to try another neckline option as the round style shoulders do not suit my already rounded figure. You already know how great the Summer Wool Festival was - it got us back in contact and I love that show for that!
I have put the tension thing on upside down and now can't get it off - ant tips?
Sorry for the late reply - hope you've figured it out. I think you just have to tug quite hard on it to remove it.
How would I go about making this larger as I have a bigger water bottle?
You would need to adjust the beginning chain to the length you need - the stitch multiple is 2, plus 1 for the foundation and 1 for the chain. In the video the starting chain is 24 = 22 for the stitch patter, plus 1, and 1 extra to work into the 2nd chain - hope that helps :)
Beautiful. Thank you😊
Way to complicated for me.
It might be considered basic, but sadly that doesn't mean easy - take it round by round and if I can help in anyway, let me know.
How many grams is 1 ball.
These are 200g per ball
Well I had to come back on to say i've finished my bag!! I used Retwisst Chainy Cotton and I didn't need the whole ball. I've even lined it thanks to your other video. Thank you for being so close up with the end of the round stitches as i'm always confused with that. And i've finally learnt to crochet in the back bump. Thank you so much!
YAY! That makes me so happy! 2 techniques mastered with one pattern - so pleased you made it
