E-Brake Pedal Pad on 2013-On Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon
Переглядів 542 роки тому
In this video I explain how to modify a Dorman 20737 E-brake pedal pad to fit onto the e-brake pedal of the 2013-on Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon. GM did a poor job designing the pad and most of these trucks are missing the pad when I see them. You can get the pad at any parts store that sells Dorman products. I’ve been using Super Glue to keep them on and I’ve had success!
2019 Ford Transit 250 Windshield Washer Pump/Motor Replacement
Переглядів 16 тис.2 роки тому
UPDATE: As you watch this video pay attention the the view of the old pump/motor, especially the electrical connection. See the orange rubber seal? See the white piece of plastic? You’ll need to use a needle nose plier to extract those two items and install them into the new pump’s electrical connection cavity. The orange seal helps to keep moisture and dirt/grime from ruining the electrical co...
1999 Saturn SC2 No Start Repair by Mr. Mobile
Переглядів 27 тис.8 років тому
This video is part one of finding an electrical problem that caused a "no crank" and "no fuel pump" condition on a 1999 Saturn SC2. It shows a common problem at the F5 pin connector at the Passenger Side Junction Block. Mr. Mobile gives props to user "nick.evans" on www.SaturnFans.com for posting pictures and written explanation about this repair. See pictures and written essay on SaturnFans.co...
Oil change required reset on 2013 Ford Escape (and others) by Mr. Mobile
Переглядів 76 тис.11 років тому
(Skip to 1:50min for actual instructions. Sorry about my phone ringing. It was my first video. Maybe one day I'll figure out how to edit the video.)
Wish it showed how the pigtail disconnected. I hate breaking the cheap weathered plastic trying to figure out the prongs
Thanks for this video. I ordered my pad and will grab some glue and repair mine. Funny GM carries the brake and clutch pad, but not this. Probably because this pedal never gets used and not worth producing and stocking, even though the design was bad.
Change the starter relay.
Thanks!
I have the exact same model but its not prompting reset or anything
Would that also effect my dash lights and make my tail lights randomly pop a fuse like even if I do replace fuse I usally never have dash lights but I have tail lights recently I have no crank issue
This HAS to be my problem. Recently bought a Saturn sw2 from a buddy that had a sub in it (now removed) and the day I went to buy it we had crank but no start. I took the time to throw a fuel pump in and same issue. Found no power going to the fuel pump fuse and replaced the fuse block but it was the wrong fuse block so we swapped the old one back in and now we can even get the thing to turn over. God I hope this is it never buying a cheap car again.
Please report back. I’m glad this video helped.
I have a 1999 saturn sc2. Im having problems in that area..Relay seems to be too hot. Video helps im going to remove the box and check it out. Thanks
Good luck with the repair. Remember that electricity generates heat, no matter the voltage. Heat and corrosion at contact points are common. Don’t be scared of 12V. It won’t shock you until you get into the ignition system. Even then it’s just unpleasant. It won’t kill you. Household 120V is another story. Your test light is your best friend so invest in a good one. Always verify your ground circuit. Electricity is a circle. You need a good positive and a good negative. Verify both. Please report back Doug.
Can’t get mines to work… tho it’s -15C that’s probably why
Maybe you'll see this and i hope so. I recently changed my oil and did this reset as in your video. Very shortly after my cruise control got to wear it would not work and then a check engine fault light came on. I thought it might have been 2 different things. But now it seems when the fault light comes on, the cruise control won't come on at all. Any ideas about this? Thanks. 2013 escape ecoboost.
Well you need to get the code and report. Just about any auto parts store will do it for you, or if you have your own you need to retrieve the code. I really doubt it's related to the reset though. I'm betting it's a speed sensor or transmission code since the CC won't work. Check back with the code.
Replaced the pump on my van today ... It looks like the old pump you're showing has the white piece and seal from inside the connector plug the you unclip from the wiring loom . My new pump just has two needle sized pins showing .. The power lead connector with two leads .Has a white section and orange seal inside where the female contacts sit .
What is that part called? Fuses connects to circuit "s
It's in the fuse box console. Watch the video. Basically the plastic box gets hot and the plastic gets deformed from the heat, then it interferes with a good connection.
That one circuit supplies The ignswitch the stereo and lighter?
I don't remember but that sounds right.

BCM Module, I'm chasing a no crank, no start, no gauges on a 05 ion quad door. Turned to start, o KY thing that happens is the lower left relay clicks, interior fuse block/BCM. All fuses, battery, starter, safety system, clutch switch all good. Pulling the BCM, to check for something like this. My first Saturn, nice little car 80k miles. And also new ignition switch, with key relearn. Thanks for the video, hope I find something like this. Just not sure if these models suffer from this. 👍👍🏁🏁
Hmmmm. Tough one. Do you have a good test light? That's your best friend when trying to find an electrical problem. Also you should have a wiring diagram handy. And the very most important fact that too many people forget or don't realize is that electricity, be it 110V or 12V, is dependent on good connections on BOTH positive and negative connections. Electricity has no where to go if you have bad ground(s). I will typically use my good set of jumper cables to establish a good ground for my test light. One other thing - have you plugged a scanner into the OBDII port? And does it power up your scanner when you do? Good luck Michael. Report back when you get it solved.
@@MrMobileAutoService Scanner lights up and says data link error.
Your video says REPLACEMENT. you show the van, the pump and where it's located but not how to actually replace pump. This video is a waste of time.
I understand where you're coming from. And I agree with you. I've watched a lot of repair videos with the same mistake. They've already done the work so they just say how they did it, not show how they did it. I hope you got it figured out. And I'll keep that in mind if I do another video.
Thanks , you saved me some money.
Video starts around 1:50
Yep. Sorry. It was my first video.
I have done this multiple times and the service notification does not pop up, any suggestions?
Hmmmm. So you never get in to reset mode?
Thank you for this video i was very scare that i will go spend money for repair…
I just tried it and the message I received was 'engine fault service now'. Is there anything I should do
I'm not sure why you got that message. It has nothing to do with the oil message reset. Does your car start, run and drive? It's a pretty simple process. Put your left foot on the brake pedal, right foot on the gas while key is in the OFF position. Press them to the floor. Keep them there and turn the key to the ON position but DO NOT start the car! Keep pressing on the two pedals until it enters RESET mode. Wait 10-15 seconds and you should get a message saying RESET COMPLETE.
Help out thanks
Thank you so much man this really helped
Thank you! I really didn’t want to go back to the service station for that
Subbed oil change reminders a great thing to post for every one you come across
Thank you!!
Thank you
Thanks
Long videos driving me nuts
Thats it exactly... Replace the wire with a lower gage? Bigger fuse? or what?
Run the circuit on a dedicated circuit that you install yourself. Make sure to protect the new circuit with a appropriate size fuse or circuit breaker (circuit breaker is recommended).
Thanks mr. mobile great job
Very clear, easy directions. Excellent video, straight to the point.... not a lot of chattering about where he went on vacation or why the dog is barking in the background like most videos LOL THANK YOU!! 👍😁
Good to hear. Thanks.
Thanks for the information. It is nice and easy.
You describe the website as Saturn naola cannot find that website
"Come on dude" I don't see a link to the website you describe in the video so evidently I'm not getting it or you're not?
Can you give the exact website please thank you
I can't. Sorry. It's been a very long time since I found it. And it took me quite a while to find it. The only thing I can suggest is listen to what I say in the video because I think I was accurate in the name of the website. I'll listen myself and see if I can find it. If I do I'll post it. Thanks for the question.
It's in my description above. There's even a link. Come on dude!
Here you go but it was in my description. www.saturnfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=173989&highlight=nick.evans
Thank you. So much helpful
Can you look at my sisters Saturn in Everett
Call 206-930-7788 to make an appointment. Your sister should call because we'll need information about the car and the problem it's having.
Cut the white wire takes 5 mins
No idea what you're talking about. Try not to post misleading information. Thanks.
Mr. mobile mine is not working I have a 2014 Ford escape I’ve tried it multiple times still doesn’t work I’ve held it for almost a minute
Were you able to get it done? Sorry for the late reply. Do you get the "Oil reset in progress . . ." at least? Should only take about 10-12 seconds after you see the first message. Remember - turn the key to on, not to run then hold both the gas a brake pedal down at the same time. I'll check back to see if you got it resolved.
Wow I am the 51078th person!!
Welcome to my channel. Thanks for subscribing.
Didn't realize I'd already seen this before. This is Yvette.
So how do you replace this?
I just cleaned up the contacts real well (with emory cloth) and made the connection good again. I also advised my client to run a separate/dedicated circuit to her radio and she did.
Should have the message for those who are watching your video to match their same situation. Redo & turn your phone off and it will be a good go-to video for this particular how-to video.
That went over my head. Sorry.
Oh, I forgot to ask, would my Saturn SC1 have the same ignition cylinder lock switch as your SC2?
No idea. Easiest way to figure that out is to call a parts store. They'll be able to tell you.
Greetings. I realize your site is dated Oct 2015, but, I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. I have a 1999 Saturn SC1 with an ignition problem. At times my key would stick. Other times it would not turn over the engine even though it would turn on the dash lights, etc. Still other times, my windshield wipers won't turn off, and at times my blinkers won't function. Would changing my ignition cylinder lock, perhaps repair some type of short I may have in my car. Or, please tell me what my problem most likely may be? I would appreciate it a lot. I am a recent stroke victim and need to help in that I am a little mentally slow now. Any help would be nice. Thank you.
There is just no way to tell. We don't diagnose through phone calls or the internet. We'd hate to give out false information. 12V electricity can be tricky. When it's intermittent like you have then there is probably a bad contact somewhere. Hopefully you have it figured out my now.
99 saturen sw1 same problem but my fuse bol os brand new nd still wont crank
ever get your issue fixed?
Thanks a Lot
Mr. Mobile... Thank you so much for this video. I'm a widow and trying to do all these things on my own. I took my 3 year old 2013 Ford Escape for an oil change but when I picked it up the oil change message was still there. Thank you so much for saving me from having to take it somewhere else just to have this reset and possibly be charged more money. You are wonderful!
Glad we could help. If you have anything else let us know!
how do u reset the change oil light on a 2001 ford escape
Hopefully you got this figured out by now. Sorry we're not real good at social media. Typically it's the three buttons on the left side of the dash (SET/INFO/RESET). Thanks for viewing. We can do a video if you want. Cheers.
thanks mr. mobile!
