They are concrete tunnel Segments or sections and they are freightliner hauled not gbrf lol! They are to be delivered to Willesden Euroterminal and my guesses are HS2 or something similar as they where speculations a couple month back that we where doing additional sections for a new sewer in London

Thank you very much, and I realised after I typed my message, the trains were hauled by Freightliner ! I thought they were segments for HS2, which is a bit ironic now that the planned extensions of that line to the North East have been curtailed. I always enjoy your visits to Hartlepool by the way, and was so pleased that the southbound platform for trains to Middlesbrough and Nunthorpe was reinstated.

The track alignment over the years look entirely different if you search Stockton-on-Tees Railway Station on Google there are photos.

it should get put back how it was but shame the station looks so depressed an unwanted from how thriving it looked back in the 1950s to late 1980s..., can and cant blame labour but also Stockton council for making the main building into a old peoples home, would be better to use some money to build a new care home and kick them out and retrofit the station with a lot of work to get it back to how it was, i recon 30 million may do it ( Estimate lol) the platforms need extending, the station needs a new car park with spaces, & where the walls are, it needs all cutting back from the inherited greenery on the walls the bushes and that.

@ thank you, and I’m looking agree with all that you say. Watching the Grand Central Class 180s passing through Stockton always makes me think they should call there, rather than at Eaglescliffe. I wonder if the present platforms are too short for these 5-car units ?

There has been a rare York to Newcastle ECS move for nearly a year, people think as Heaton depot drivers deliver stock to Neville Hill in Leeds and vice versa, drivers need a refresher every so long so using a spare unit for a few hours up and down is the best way!

Was taken out in 1980+ i think, and yes more flowable now !
