Love that Bryce Harper Heritage Chrome card.
Great cards, congrats
Hi man, thanks for sharing the video. anyways, do you need a graphic artist to work on your YT logo and banner? update and redesign logo? for a cheap price...
Cherokee Triangle, Bonnycastle, Cherokee Gardens, Indian Hills, Mockingbird Valley, Glenview are also LOVELY 🤓🤓🤠
Love vintage mint cards !
I had some of those...
Great cards thanks for sharing
Love the 67 cards. Thanks for sharing
I have 580 of the 1967 baseball cards, 80 percent in near mint condition and 20 person in excellent -mint condition
That was a nice group of cheap cards, lots of numbered and the paper Rutschman and Henderson First Bowmans.
all the Gunners have sold already, sold for $4 each, so not a bad return on 50 cents a card.
Awesome cards, congrats
Hello! Please do a video of St James Court! Beautiful area!!
Couple things I want to add, I forgot to mention that a player with their "signature" on the bat means that the player is or was under contract with slugger. Slugger also still has many of the original bat contracts with the players. Being I gave private tours and was a "brand Ambassador" I got to see, handle, and talk about contracts we had of Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, and other greats.
Also, do the players know the story behind the bat they use? How different are the iterations of each bat?
@@ttmhog15 very few know. Most just find something they like
Very glad that UA-cam brought me to this video, super informative, very fun to watch and learn about bats. I had no idea about most of these things and have been a huge baseball fan for my whole life. If you don't mind me asking, why did you leave? Did you work there because you wanted to work in baseball? I hope you keep making vids! This was really great
@@ttmhog15 I worked at slugger for 6 years from 2014 to 2020. Unfortunately when COVID hit the company got rid of me and a lot of other mid tear management. I moved from NJ to Louisville to work for slugger initially.
@@t206kid Sorry to hear that man. Keep making vids. This was awesome
@@ttmhog15yeah it sucked what happened. I will always cherish the 6 years I was there but the company really hurt a lot of employees. I actually refuse to step back into the building. My last day there was July 5th 2020
@@t206kid I totally respect that decision. It does absolutely suck that a company that obviously makes money hand over fist is so willing to screw their employees.
Nice finds, congrats
Very cool stack!
What are the best ways to know if a bat is game used/authentic. Is it the underlined vs not underlined number? I always thought it was a team name under a player's name.
There really isn't a best way, it's more of a process of elimination. There are also cases in where a player might only use a bat for one at bat and not hit the ball or Mark the bat up and there might be a bat that a player uses for 20 games. I would also look at the handle of a modern bat. The companies today will print the date on the handle when it was made in the factory. Typically you will not see that on replica bats
Awesome video my man new sub
Appreciate it!
God bless the hurricane victims,
brother where is this card shop located hahha! What is the name. If ever I'm in your area I want to stop through hhaha
It's just called Louisville sports cards
Great eyes for those $1 box cards. Awesome cards!
Maybe I will go back this weekend. They were definitely some diamonds in there.
As of 10/8, 21 of these cards have sold for a total of $109.74. If anyone is interested in these cards or others, I have for sale my ebay store is 6-4-3memorabilia
We definitely took a beating in Etown. That wind and rain was brutal. Some great pick-ups there.
We were lucky here then in Louisville. Definitely wasn't anything bad with the wind. Lot of rain, but the wind was nothing terrible
Needed only a Warren Spahn for the complete set in ‘65. Traded 13 Marvel comics for Spahn! Lord only knows what those beat up comics we carried rolled up in our back pockets would be worth, but mom sold the cards at a garage sale in ‘71 when I went off to college.
Correction, there are 407 cards in the 1957 Topps set
Nice cards, thanks for sharing
Thanks Orlando!
Hey Tony, I just came across a potential dozen '53 cards but they don't pass the light test. The feel and the look seems correct. Could you tell me if your 53 cards let any light through? It would save me money from sending them to an authenticator if the card stock doesn't pass the light test😢
Richard Hamilton sold for $9.99, 2 of the Cubs team cards sold for $4.99 each as of 7/22/2024
Love it! Great Video!
Cool pickups! Thanks for sharing!
Great pickups! Love the Cepeda rookie. I remember seeing it at the show. If you’re thinking the Louisville show won’t be good, there is a show at the Eastgate Mall near Cincinnati on Saturday. It’s usually a pretty big show with great dealers. Not sure how far away you are. Take care!
Paige exhibit sold for $49.99, Bob Feller exhibit sold for $5.99, Pee Wee Reese Exhibit sold for $7.99, and a common Exhibit sold for $3.99, Paige exhibit sold for $25, Dimaggio exhibit sold for $25, Yogi Berra sold for $7, Jay Payton refractor sold for $6.99, David Robinson refractor sold for $8.99, 1988 Jabbar sold for $4.99, Derek Harper sold for $4.99 (as of 7/9/2024)
Some nice pick ups. True, with the 64T Tiger card, looks like a photo from the 20s or 30s. Yeah, 70T team photo people dont know DiMaggio is in the card. Im working on the 66T set. If you need some cards for that year shoot me an email. Check my community page.
Some cool cards there. Lolich nearly had a Hall of Fame caliber career. Lowell Palmer's cards are a hoot. With those shades he looks like he's playing Junior G-Man or something. If Frank Howard hadn't spent most of his time with the Dodgers as a part-timer he might've been a legit Hall of Famer. Jerry Grote and Fritz Peterson both passed away within the last couple of months. Bill Faul is an "interesting" player; according to former Red Sox and Expos pitcher Bill Lee, Faul would occasionally do his Ozzy Osbourne impression and bite the heads off parakeets. Sounds like a real charmer...and just so's ya know, Vic Davalillo's last name is pronounced Dav-a-lee-oh.
Cool cards! Especially the Palmer sunglasses card and the Staub gold cup. Great video!
Thanks for watching
Pesky sold for $30
Great pickups! Love the Harmon
nice cards, especially the 56 killer
Thought it was a really good price for the grade
Kidd sold for $30
Monte Irvin sold for $59.99, Robin Roberts sold for $9.99, Red Schoendienst sold for $9.99, Nellie Fox sold for $59.99 as of 6/11/2024
That's a really solid lot you picked up! They might be beat up but they're still wicked cool cards! ~Allon
Stuff like this is great! Problem is I want to start selling cards more as a side gig and I find it hard to part with stuff like this once I get them
Pretty cool. I collected from 1976-1990 and only owned one '51 Bowman, the Johnny Pesky card.
I have had a few over the years, but not many. I know I had a Bob feller at one point and this is the 2nd time I've had a Nellie fox rookie.
Nice stuff
Nice betts I think those are exclusive to target i pulled out one back in the day
You're probably right. When I saw it I knew obviously it was something more special than a regular base card. Also being an early red Sox Card of his I knew it was a solid card to grab for 50 cents
You have a good eye for cards in the value boxes. Thanks for sharing!
I love digging through bargain boxes. Never know what you will find
Great pickups! I really liked the Mad Bum and Justin Turner
Shin-Soo Choo sold for $4.99, Esteval Florial sold for $3.99, as of 5/8/2024
Tommie Aaron sold for $4.99, Joe Adcock sold for $4.99, Edgar Renteria sold for $5.99, Winfield sold for $24.99, Cory Riordan sold for $3.99 (To Cory himself), Bumgarner jersey card sold for $4.99, Ted Abernathey sold for $3.49, Billy Smith Sold for $3.99, Pumpsie Green Sold for $24.99 as of 6/24//2024
Thanks I have most of 65 ; saw a lot of them play
I’m burning out on my pre war sets (t206 and 41 playball) think I might add a topps set to take a break and 53 is at the top of my list
1953 is a challenge, but no where near those pre war cards
@@t206kid yea I’m around 50% done with the t206 set, definitely burns you out haha. Just so many expensive cards. The 53 seems to be tied up mostly in the mantle and mays
@@bec630 yes, the mantle, Mays, and to a little lesser extent the Jackie and Paige
@@t206kid if I go for it, I think my plan will be to get a big group of commons at once, and then a Paige and Robinson. Add the mantle and mays when one comes up that makes sense. I wanted to go for a 520 card t206 set, but I think I’ll probably have to settle for a 518, and the cobbs make even that a headache.
