a karoo thrush / turdus smithi came flying to the nestbox and had a short break on the roof ; Wanda heard it and obviously expected a food delivery ; as no food was offered she had to check herself who was disturbing the quiet

Nuremberg and Munich zoo keep their male Przewalski's horses on Tennenloher Heide . en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Przewalski's_horse Tennenloher Heide is a former US training area on very sandy and dry soil . I was out there for the first test of my brand new binoculars with on-board camera .

MS Flipper ( de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flipper_(Schiff,_1977) / available only in german ) took us for a six hours trip into the Kiel Canal ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiel_Canal ) . Brunsbüttel Locks had to be passed twice , a big lock chamber with a few other and larger ships on the way into the canal and a small chamber on the way back to Elbe .
