I’ve been at a few law offices and because of the places I worked, I have never felt more incompetent in my life and unfortunately being a paralegal and new to the law field a lot of attorneys don’t want to train people who are new to the role, and each place ive been at, I’ve been usually the only paralegal or legal assistant, so the only people I had to train me where the attorneys. I had to take a break from being in an office and went back to retail for 6 months and now I’m back to applying to places, but watching this video makes me feel so validated in what I’ve gone through in law offices of it being so stressful that crying becomes a thing, very happy to see you get through your week even though this video was from a while ago ❤

I am happy that you're pursing your goal of being a paralegal! in order to be a paralegal do you need a certificate or an associate degree related to that specifically? can you still get that position without a paralegal degree or certificate as well? are you still going to be working as a legal assistant while going to school as a paralegal? I know I keep asking you this, but for the legal assistant position do you need a degree related to legal studies or can you just get that position otherwise? can you get a legal assistant position with just an associate's degree in any field? I have an associate degree, and I want to know if I can get a legal assistant job or Paralegal with just an associate degree

Currently pursuing my paralegal certificate from a cc as well! Definitely suggest only doing 2 classes a semester while working full-time. Taking 3 or more almost lead me to burn out last semester! Good luck to us both✨

I have a question for the paralegal position and legal assistant what education do you need? do you need an associate degree or bachelor's degree I live in NY I have an associate degree (my degree is AS BS GEN) I am in the process of getting my BA in PSYCOLOGY just in case if I don't get my BA in Psychology degree, I want to know if I can still get the position as legal assistant and paralegal with an associate degree from community college without having any education in law or paralegal or legal studies

I’m switching careers from engineering to law and I have an interview for a litigation legal assistant. First firm that’s given me an interview

May I ask, what are your hours that you work? Is it over 40 hr a week?

I am on my 3rd month as a junior legal assistant with no experience. My first cry was not because the job is hard, but how other co-worker treats me. Never appreciative, never made me feel welcome or wanted at the firm. I am still ok because my boss is amazing and a really good person and I dont want to mention how that co-worker treats me because it's her bestfriend. Im just stuck and dont know what to do, I love my job and your video just helps me keep going. ☺️

Thank you! I just had my first interview at a small firm and waiting to see if I'm invited to the second one with the attorney. I really hope I get it. They said they are willing to train those without experience and I have experience in admin/coordination mostly

I want to change careers into law from being a preschool teacher. I am 3 months unemployed and it’s hard getting a job as a legal assistant. I have a pre law degree but haven’t had a single interview, just rejections . :/ I’ve worked as an assistant but only in educational settings

When you get your law license, you're going to make some secretary very grateful to work for you. But beware, there are those who will act like you work for them and you would never survive without their help. I pray you get the former and not the latter.

That's how I feel. So stressed out. Can't sleep. Having conversations with them about it in my head. Day after day, night after night.
