Sewing A Boned Bodice | Part 2
In this 2 part series you can see me sew a boned bodice with invisible boning channels from start to finish. Throughout the years that I have been making costumes, I have tried many different techniques to make bodices and corsets. This is kind of a mix of all of the techniques I liked and that I use all the time now. I am in no way saying this is the best or only way to make these bodices, but I just wanted to share the way I make them. If you have any suggestions for techniques to try or want to share how you make your boned bodices, definitely leave a comment, I'd love to try them as well! I put time stamps in the video so you can skip ahead or go back to certain parts and find them easier. Also, sorry if the audio is not the best sometimes, I don't have a fancy camera or fancy mic.
I hope these videos are helpful to you. If you have any questioins, you can leave a comment or DM me on Instagram :). Thanks for taking the time to watch these!
I run my own costuming business and am open for commissions! If you're interested in commissioning me, you can check out my website, etsy store and social media to see more of my work and you can email or DM me :)

Sewing A Bootstrap Fashion Dressform Cover
I made a cover for my dress form that's exactly my sizes! I used the pattern from the patterning company Bootstrap Fashion. This was such a fun little project to do and it's really handy to own a dress form that actually matches my sizes. The website of Bootstap Fashion also offers patterns for complete dressforms, as well as detachable arms for your dressform. I might make those arms as well i...
Building A Round Cage Crinoline Without Sewing Pattern
In this video you can watch me build a round cage crinoline without using any sewing patterns. This was definitely a challenge and I gotta be honest, I didn't really enjoy building this. But that's just because crinolines can be very tedious to build. The final result is so worth it though! And I loooove big ballgowns, so for that a crinoline is very necessary. Materials needed: - 40 meters of ...

In this video I'm showing you all how I made a pair of 18th Century Pocket Hoops. This was such a fun little project and they took me about two days to make. I used the book Corsets and Crinolines by Norah Waugh as an instruction on how to sew these. And if you liked the video it'd mean a lot to me if you subscribe to my channel and leave a like :). A lot of time goes into making these and it's...

These videos were so helpful and informative!
Hii mam so beautiful
I love the part where she showed the actual finished product
I have a 4 part series up on my page where I show the whole process AND the finished product. Maybe this is such a long process that it doesn't fit into one video and you should look before commenting

It's STUNNING! You did such a professional job, you look SO beautiful! Congratulations to you both!! ❤
This is truly one of the most helpful tutorials I have found on UA-cam, thank you so much! I would love to see a tutorial on how you do the visible boning !

Thank you SO MUCH for this video! This is perfect for my situation!
You have no idea how helpful these videos are! Thank you so much for making this!
A petticoat is made from only fabric. A cage crinoline is made from boning tape and flat steel boning, which is what I'm showing in this fabric. Petticoats go on top of a crinoline to smooth out the hoops of the crinoline 😁
I am a professional tailor and dressmaker and have 3 degrees in it, including a lingerie making degree. You don't need chest and hip measurements for a crinoline, only a hip. And the measurements in this video can be adjusted to every waist measurement and every height. You also didn't mention you need hip to floor measurement for this, which is one of the most important measurements in making a crinoline
You don't necessarily need a sewing pattern to make a crinoline. I make crinolines for clients all the time and I have figured this pattern out all by myself, without using a premade pattern. Building a crinoline is all about correct math 😁. A sewing pattern has already had the math done for you, but you can do the math behind it with what I say in the video
Thank you for this excellent video. I am trying to decide which version to get but have measure my form and at upper bust it is the same as me exactly so I will go with the cover. I was thinking maybe a zip up the back would be good for getting it on and off
thank youu Miss❤❤❤
Seriously so helpful for new costumers!!
Where can u buy the crinoline material
What kind of material it😊 is
Hi, sorry, how do you get the tape to stick and the white thing is that you can't see it well in the video
Thank you so much! I do it! ❤
how do you stick the hoop with the twill tape (first tutorial) after you remove the clips? What is the length of each hoop
What size satin cording do you use in the piping? Is it 2 mm? or 3 mm?
Wish you would make one for me
Thank you so much for this video ❤ I was really struggling till I found this

Cómo hacen para sentarse con ese fustan
Very nice 👍
Which book u r referring to?
How I appreciated the care with which you prepared this dress form cover video! Had had worrisome questions about how well the dress form cover would work, and wow, not only does it look like it's a super form, but you covered how to handle the trouble spots! What a gift! Now am much more confident that I can manage making my own. Thank you so very much.
-Never wave your flashlights back and fourth really fast (flashlights are their natural prey) -Don't stomp around. They take that as challenge -Don't ever eat sliced cubes of cheese -Never wear a sumbrero, and a goofy fasion, and clown shoes, and A HOOP SKIRT and never Ever? EVER! AHH! SCREECH LIKE A CHIMPANZEE!!
Y como seaneja al sentarse
