GHANA IS SO DISGRACEFUL AND BACKWARD. WHY HE HAS TO GO THROUGH ALL THESE PEOPLE, IT ENCOURAGES CORRUPTION , JUST LIKE THE OLD DAYS BECAUSE THEY NEED MONEY, THEY WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE MISERABLE FROM ONE OFFICE TO ANOTHER, JUST TO MAKE YOU PAY THEM, SAD YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH HELL TO GET YOUR CAR. I HAVE TRIED IT TWO TIMES BEFORE, AND SWORE I WILL NEVER SEND A CAR TO GHANA. I WENT THROUGH HELL BECAUSE I DID NOT KNOW PEOPLE. EVEN GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL WANTED MY CARS, BY COMING TO INSPECT THEM AT NIGHT AT THE HARBOR. I KNEW IT WAS TRUE BECAUSE A SECURITY GUARD AT THE PORT ON NIGHT DUTY TOLD ME BECAUSE, HE FOUND OUT I WAS THE SAME TRIBE AS HIM. BUT THIS IS A LONG TIME AGO, NOT NOW.

As an Energy Policy Expert, I am happy about this program and the worth of knowledge Hurbert shared. Buying and using old used high energy electrical appliance is a huge problem: one for the energy generation demand and two, for the end user because you will start to pay high energy bills as your "small" inefficient electrical appliance in actual sense is consuming more energy. Investing in new energy electrical appliance is good for the long term and brings about energy security at the end of the day. Good job. One question though which I do not understand is why a ban on Renewable energy products? New generation of solar panels obviously will have high absorption rate leading to higher Watts output than older generations on the market due to technology advancements.

Import taxes in Ghana is exorbitantly higher than most of the other West African countries. Armed robbery by the government and not well regulated. Too much corruption at our ports.

Duty on cars and goods are too much. Ghana Customs are killing Ghanaians with these exorbitant charges. People are just making money off people’s sweat and tears. Atta Mills talked about how Customs staff build houses in three months after being hired. Stop killing us.

For this there's no standard because the cost prices are everywhere and it depends who you meet to value your car and Also how strong and knowledgeable your agent is. This is still ridiculous, even after knowing the cost of your import duty you're still not allowed to clear your property without a clearance agent. Therefore you're forced to have this agent so that you can be scammed for additional illegal charges, it's hilarious.

My goods are from Ghana to Germany, I don't need an agent, I just go and pay my goods fee in the office then I go and pick up my goods. The agents in Ghana are the ones making things difficult.

This old men in the Ghanaian society seems to pronounce words so different from how you were so taught at school,is it an age thing in Ghana?

Meaning if you import cars into ghana port ...it again means,you are working for them coz if you are not able to pay what tghey ask you,then your car goes to someone else.
