To me, this one kind of drags in the first half. I enjoy the death-metally sections, especially the way it incorporates slap bass, even though I don't particularly gravitate towards death metal. I also love the fact that Jinjer has a song in their catalog with such profound and literate lyrics. So, this is not currently among my favourite Jinjer songs, but it's good, and it may eventually grow on me, as many of their songs have done.

I highly suggest checking out Improver, Helium and Taras Stanin; they are all insane solo beatboxers, and they're (along with Vahtang) also part of a beatbox crew called Ya Na Ha 🔥

You should definitely check out the Okapi EP they released earlier this year. turn it up, Prisoner, Mourning the Dawn and Okapi. Really enjoyed them all.

Camille has been with them since 2023(ish) I believe & has been featured on 1 EP thus far. This is their 2nd bunch of songs with her on vocals. She also featured on the title track from "c'est la vie" with Novelists a few years back so it's kinda cool that they brought her in full time now. The other new track "K.O" & that previous EP I mentioned are both definitely worth checking out though! 👍🤘

It looks to me like she's surrounded by an oval area of real grapes or grape-like physical objects (plastic or whatever), but beyond that, I think they've computer-generated the rest. I could be wrong, though. This is some of my favourite vocal melodic composition from Tati, & I love her extensive use of her *gorgeous* head voice in this piece, a piece of her vocal repertoire that we've heard very little of up to now. That section with the combined guitar & bass tapping with great tom drum groove is incredible, & I love the Opethy outro. Even the stripped down, simple chuggy riffs in the last two heavy sections are a welcome addition, as Jinjer fans usually have to struggle to head bang to Jinjer's weird rhythms & unusual, shifting time signatures (which I also love, of course). This is a *great* song, destined to be a Jinjer classic, IMO. They've already performed this song live, and it sounds great!

It is really a brave song about people struggling with alcoholism. The Green Serpent is an Eastern European metaphor for alcoholism. (Tatiana has posted that she is 2 years sober). She and the band have a lot of talent but it takes guts to expose one's struggles. Good reaction

Seeing them open for Mudvayne and Megadeth was such an absolute treat and the VIP package they held was life dream met and they absolutely stole the show. Well worth seeing them live. This has the most Oli throwback writing style out of the newer songs. The progression really hits that Fall of Ideals/Overcome era of the band. Bless Richardson, Deis, Baron and Mike and Phil for continuing. And There will never be a more perfect guitarist to fill Olis shoes. Oli picked Richardson to replace him should anything ever have happened to him for a reason.

You should definitely react to Defector, its off Revolution as well. Imo, it’s easily the best song they’ve written in a while. Its emotional and it has a deep meaning to it. One of the top songs from the album imo

Hmm... Not a bad song. It does appear that they're going back to a sound that fans are familiar with, Like that little throwback to bodies with the guitar, But when you really listen to it, at its core it still feels like a generic rock song. It really bleeds through the lyrics... The whole "ohh, Don't tell me what to do! I'm above your authority! I'll do what I want!" vibe to me, very generic and cheesy. Plus the vocals, Whenever Ryan sings for Drowning Pool, its Soil Jr. Just now they decided to sound a little like old school DP, but compare Sinner from 2001 with Dave to this, drastically different. Painfully. DP will never be the same without Dave, but the song.. 7.5/10. Your reaction? 10/10 🤘
