Hello, I like your content. Do you accept sponsored products? If yes, please leave your email address.
Did you have oil pressure drop? I installed this kit and noticed that the cruising psi from 48-52 psi, dropped to 41-42 psi in a 1750 RPM.
Oil pressure is normal, did not change on this truck.
Was the oil temperature the same when you checked pressure before and after installing the kit? Hotter oil=lower pressure. I’m asking because I have had this kit installed for a while and didn’t pay attention to pressure before and after and I’ve seen a couple of comments like yours and I’m wondering if I should remove it. I just want to make sure the pressure drop you saw is accurate
yes. I have it both in 218 -220 F and with the kit was 40-42psi and without at same temp 48-52 psi @ about 1800 RPM.
@@mattyruppel1654 thanks a bunch for the reply! I’ve had the kit on for probably 12-15k miles and haven’t had any issues and technically the pressure is “within spec” but I will probably remove it and see about putting my own custom kit together with better flowing fittings and all. Or just deal with the pain in the behind factory location lol
@ i only drove it for 300 miles with the kit on. I did call the company and they told me same thing that it is within specs, however I am a little hesitant to run 75-80 mph in the highway with almost 20 percent drop of the pressure. I guess I have to deal with the messy oil change.
How long did the install take, and is it still leak free? Great video!
If we wouldn't have had the gasket issue it probably would have taken us 2-3 hours or so. The gasket set us back because when it slipped out we tore it so had to find a new one. It is still leak free and works great!
That was a great video, thanks. How is it after 4 months?
He loves it! Oil changes are a breeze now.
@@QuadLifeATV thanks!
OK, this is by far the best camera work I have seen on th ^&%^%&% oil filter. Seriously somebody needs to be fired for putting it there...WTF.
I cannot figure out how that design was ever approved. Would hate to be a service technician working at a ram dealership and dealing with it all the time!
Just what I needed to see, im about to go through this little project myself this weekend replacing my front bumper cover too. Thanks!
Glad it could help you out!
Can you include the drain plug setup he has?
Stahlbus Oil Drain Valve Plug M14x1.5x12mm Steel - Clean, Easy, NO Tool Oil Change - Includes Oil Drain Plug, Washer, Cap, Connector, Silicone Hose a.co/d/3UXkJHX
Is this in the northern or southern part of the Medicine Bows? I'm thinking about taking my Rhino & starting near Albany, going up by Rob Roy Reservoir, then to Centennial...or something like that.
This was right outside of Centennial. We went down around Rob Roy as well. Definitely recommend getting off the the main roads and doing some of the off shoots even if they are an out and back. The funnest trail was going up to Libby Flats. Thanks for checking out the video!
Great video. Beautiful area.
I agree, it's amazing there! Thanks for checking out the video!
If you don't see any metal in the oil the magnet is doing it's job.
What tires are on that machine? Thanks great video!
They are SunF tires, kind of a knock off of Maxis Bighorn. Here's a link to them. Thanks for checking out the video! Set of 4 SunF Power.I ATV UTV all-terrain Tires 25x8-12 Front & 25x10-12 Rear, 6 PR, Tubeless A033 a.co/d/8ZVmSxE
Love, looking at those old cabins and ruins stuff! Fun to imagine all of that stuff in use back in the day. Looked like the snow was tough to get through. LOL The views are amazing out there. Thanks for taking us along on the adventure!
Hey Jeff, I agree it would be awesome to see all of that old mining equipment in use. Pretty awesome history. The snow was a blast to ride through! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great video Rod. Stew looks like he is having fun. Getting stuck in the snow was cool. The views were awesome.
Hey Tim, yep the boys were having a blast that day. The snow was a lot of fun. Something you typically don't get in Arkansas lol. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
“I saw the sign” 😂
😂 Good times
Very cool!
Thanks Jess!
Where was that mine shaft located?? We are heading that way next week!
It was an off shoot right off of 307.A. Thanks for checking out the video!
Man, the skies sure look bigger out west. Dean says he don’t need no nickname. Hahaha Love looking at those old cabin ruins like that. Yeah, too bad they closed off those mine shafts. Cool you found the one that was open. The views there at the top are sure amazing! Excellent video buddy thanks for taking us along and sharing your adventure!
Hey Jeff! Yeah the views out there are just amazing. Never gets old. All the old mining history was a bonus, we didn't expect to see all that but we love checking it out! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
Awesome trip Rod!
Hey Matt, you should head out there sometime, it's a great place to ride! Thanks for checking out the video. Hope you guys are going well.
Beauty trails! 11:48 - hahaha, that's funny. Good to know the young lads have faith in their drivers - lol Loved the old buildings. Thanx for sharin'!
Hey Q yep definitely some cool old historic buildings out there. We love checking out old mining history. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
Pretty nice looking trails and scenery. Old cabins are cool. Sure was a lot of cabins in that one area. Those mines are pretty cool. Man that looks like full.
Hey Tim, We love exploring old mining history. It is fascinating to me. Definitely some cool finds on these trails. Thanks for watching the video!
Good video and memories!
Indeed this trip was a blast
Cool video. What is the title of the music you used?
I installed it on my 22 ram at 1,000 miles on my first oil change took about 5 hours but worth it so easy to change oil now I bought a Hubb oil filter and had a drain plug welded in now I can drain the filter and the oil super easy.
That is awesome. My brother is very happy with this kit! Did you have any issues with the o ring staying in place where the new housing fits the old filter location?
Voltage regulator?
Cool man
Thank you!
Nice looking trail Rod.
I love your videos, thanks for sharing your adventures. We just got our 1st four wheelers and are loving it. We're in western Colorado, Grand Junction, so there's a little bit of everything close by. I'm curious what radios you use, I'd like something I can communicate with the wife without having to push buttons and yours sound like they work great. Thank you and keep the videos coming!
That's awesome, what kind of four wheelers do you have? I've never been to the Grand Junction area but I'd love to some day. The radios we use are Sena Spider ST1 and we love them. The mesh system is way better than Bluetooth. You basically turn them on, press a button and you are connected. Thanks for checking out the videos and leaving a comment. Much appreciated!
@QuadLifeATV thanks for the radio info. I picked up a 2023 can-am outlander 700 and a 2024 yamaha kodiak 450 chose my wife. Grand Junction is great. You can go from sandy deserts up to dense forest all within about an hours drive. So much variety.
My brother is really wanting one of the new Outlander 700s. They look like a great machine!
@QuadLifeATV my outlander has been great so far. It's just the base model, but it runs smooth and is really comfortable. The only downside I can think of is it doesn't have grease zerks anywhere on it, which seems kind of odd to me.
Those were some great trails and great riding!
Wow that is amazing. I would love to do that someday.
Hey Tim! Highly recommend going there. Who knows, maybe the KC group can go there someday? Thanks for watching!
WOW, looks beautiful! Awesome trailer; nice editing!
Hey Q, thanks for watching and commenting! It was beautiful there!
Where’s this at ??
This is in the Routt National Forest, trail 409.
Nice job Rod. Ever thought of riding the big horn mountains between Sheridan and buffalo wy? I think that would be fun.
Hey Tim, yes definitely thought about it and would like to do it someday. Just got back from the Snowy Range in Wyoming and it was awesome!
Will have to go sometime. I would be interested
Beautiful
I agree, it's amazing. Thanks for checking out the video!
What is the oil drain plug upgrade?
a.co/d/0iJG9Rp8
Wow ! ....lol
Buietiful just Buietiful
Wow that is nice one. Buietiful rack on that boy.
Great shot
Thanks! It was amazing to see them that close. Probably wouldn't want to be any closer haha
That’s what happens when they go to the electric fuel pumps….. and all the other electronic crap that they don’t need…. Gravity fed Carburetor would never leave you stranded…
Yeah for sure adds complexity and more things that can fail. But on the flip side when we go to the mountains it's nice to not have to jet the carb.
That sucks out in the middle of nowhere. Glad your brother is there to pull you. Other wise it would be a long walk home.
Hey Tim, yep that's why it's smart to never ride alone. But I've done it before lol.
2025 X2s dropped I think I’m gonna get one
Glad to see they brought it back!
Good video, I'd like to know what coms you're using the sound is nice and clear.
The KC ATV crew uses Sena 30k units I believe. I use Sena Spider ST1 units. As long as they are Sena brand and have the mesh capability they work really well. Thank for checking out the video!
Nice job K train! You look like you could handle some Kentucky mud.
I think he would love trying out the Kentucky mud lol. Thanks for checking out the video!
Looked like a great time, one of these years I’ll hopefully join you guys and kcatv
You definitely should, it's a blast! They are a great group to go riding with.
Rough and rocky. Nice to see Dean driving. I like that Jeff tells us where to go when it is bad. I like the water crossings. Great video Rod thanks for sharing.
Yeah Jeff does a great job leading. It's a lot more work when you are the one on the lead making decisions and making sure everyone gets through ok. They are great people to go riding with!
Been thee done that! One of my 5 machines seems to be the one that gets all the abuse by roll overs. Been rolled 3 times in it's 1 year of life.
Man that's no good, you must ride some technical areas? What type of machine do you have?
@@QuadLifeATV Yes, we ride in Utah and I have Yamaha Grizzly 700's. For the record it was my teenage children that are still learning. I personally have not had any roll overs... yet.
That stinks that the audio didn’t wort. I did not realize that Brian’s mishap was that bad. I should have helped out to. Just glad no one was hurt real bad
Yes for sure that's the main thing that nobody got hurt. It is frustrating the mic failed but not much can do about it now. I got a new one, just need to get it replaced in my helmet.
Good stuff buddy, good stuff!! Was a fun weekend!
Yes it was! Looking forward to your next video to watch the footage with audio!
Hey guys, not wanting to make anyone feel bad or anything, but I'd like to offer a little advice based on experience when in situations like at 6:15. Whenever possible, put 2 winch cables on because 1) the quad holding that heavier CanAm might not have enough tire grip & weight to stop it from sliding down the hill with the CanAm & 2) if the line or rigging broke at the 6:44 mark, someone was going to get hurt and possibly really bad. I hate to sound like the know-it-all, but I'd feel terrible if someone got hurt in the future doing this and I didn't say anything. Keep up the awesome videos you two! Yeeeehaw!
@@quaddingsousThanks Q, definitely good advice! Having two cables is a good idea.
Thanks for the advice Q I know we do a lot of things that are unsafe and we don’t think about it at the time.
@@kcatv9556 . . . I think we all do when we're under stress like you guys were during this rescue. Pretty easy for guys like me to give advice after the fact - lol - You folks are all intelligent, good, people. I hope I didn't offend anyone. I just wouldn't want any of y'all to get hurt.
Great how to! Thanks. I was pulling into a tight parking spot concentrating on the car parked to my right and the high curb to my left and tapped the short (i.e. invisible) safety bollard post in front. You're a lucky man to have a helper like that young man.. I remember the days of my sons helping me with my projects years ago.
Hey there, thanks for checking out the video and glad it could help you out! I agree, it's nice to have some help with things from the boys. It will be hard when they move out haha
