When I finished this episode with the death of Sea Byeok when we played this song it broke me just seeing Sea Beyok being cremated and it ended like that I was sure the shock wasn't fair she deserves so much better I think I would have been in Gi hun's place to have found her dead I would have committed suicide I would not have been able to continue just imagining that she died in my sight is deserve beter 😢.

After coming back to this video, 4:47 hits really hard still and I can just remember starting the show and seeing Arens mother dying with this ost in the background. I have chills!!

I love the beginning of this video. This is right after armin says that he is joining the survey corps. Mikasa says she will join as well reminding eren of the promise she made to his mother. And it plays as they look to the wall and the beautiful starry night sky, wondering what is past it. The anime says that home is a pen, but the manga talks about the humiliation of birds trapped in a cage. This is how the song got it's name, at least that's my assumption

It made me feel things i can't understand

I have to talk about the part at 1:25 because it feels like a small moment of hope in the world of attack on titan. I dont see many people talk about how beautiful it is only for it to transition stunningly perfect to the dark part of this track. The small moment of hope only to eventually turn into a dark and doom-like tone perfectly describes what Attack on titan is as a whole. Another thing I want to add about the part at 1:25 is that a perfect example of that small ounce of hope or light this part captures is when in season 1 Armin says that he can stay behind and imply that he might kill himself before a titan could get him. But then mikasa throws his blade away and the moment she helps him rise to his feet the part of the song plays. It is such a small and underrated detail that part captures me the most instead of the other part later in the song. Sorry for the long comment I just needed to get this out :)
