I did this one backward so you can see what has to be done all you need is a pry bay and a phillips screwdriver.

Before you start you will need a 7mm hex,8mm hex a screwdriver or plastic pry bar and phillips screwdriver.

there are two screws at the ash tray and one in the a/c panel in the middle after you take out the wheel control,and then you can pry the panel off.
I can not see what you are doing. Poor lighting.

Great video just needed more light.
Before and during installation, you should notice: 1.Before connecting, please make sure the ignition is off to avoid short circuit. 2.Ensure connect the yellow and red power cable at last. 3.Ensure that all loose wires are isolated with electrical tape 4.Ensure don’t tangle the wire when tighten the moving parts(Such as seat rails). 5.Ensure that all ground is connected to the same place. 6.Using the improper fuse may cause damage of fire, so when replace the fuse, please consult the professional.
Thanks for the video, it helps out alot! I'm going to be doing this same thing, but I won't be doing it with the car on! I have a 2002 g 500. Question for everyone. What do you recommend replacing the original radio with? I need google maps, usb and blue tooth.

Thanks for the video. Did you replace the radio and if so with what and which adapters did you use? I have an 03 G500 and want to update the head unit but I’m being told that I need to replace the entire system, speakers amp and head unit since it fiber optic. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
welcome and yes i replaced it with a power acoustik face off with t.v.,navi,sd,dvd,mp3,usb,and radio and it came out good, the only thing is when you use the kit you have to look up wire for car ignition so you can wire the red one up to it so that the stereo can come on and when it does the amp will come on to. Would you like the kit numbers.

Melvin, I'm gonna do this on my G but one question, should I turn the radio off when disconnecting it? Should I leave the whole car off? Also, should I take out the navigation CD before taking out the radio? Thanks!!
you can leave the disc in one thing you should know when you get a wire harness it doesn't come with the ignition power you have to go to another source for that one.

sorry people i said in the video i was in a garage and i did point out the right screws and show you with a flashlight on that so if i'm the moron this video is not for thieves it's for people who need to work on their own vehicle,and this was my very first video because i myself could not find on the internet anywhere that had this car so i should be thanked instead of criticized---and for those that it did help" you welcome". for 6 minutes most can't do that so keep hatin and i know i'm doing something right.

Thanks for the video, I would've gone a completely different way of it weren't for this, I food notice you had the double din stereo, it's that factory? Because I'm looking to find a double din color match bezel to install on my ls,
I don't usually work on my cars so this video really helped. Where the 2 Phillips screws go to hold the astray in, one of the ears where the screw threads in was broken when I took it apart. any ideas on how to repair something like that?
