Really, really nice. I've been contemplating a similar project for my apartment, but I was thinking of a stand-alone wall panel about 8 feet long and 6-7 feet high, with a 2x4 frame structure behind it. The face was going to be 1/4" plywood with a finish. After seeing YOUR project, I'm now rethinking this. I love the idea of using slats with different thicknesses. What would I do differently? Give each of the three thickness groups a different and contrasting stain color. But that's just me. I love chaos now and then, as long as it's not overpowering.

Very nice build. Keep up the great work. Thank you for sharing. I think the term you were looking for is "blocking". You added those strips on the back of the shelf unit so that the cupboard could screw to that, correct? If that is the case, then yes, it is called "blocking". We use the same method in the U.S. with stick built homes. Blocking is added at cabinet height from stud to stud so that we can secure the cabinets to that for strength. FYI - I clicked on the link for the plans and it returned "PAGE NOT FOUND". Subscribed!

The funniest part of this is the price they put on the item. More fool the idiot that pays that amount for the table. You could get a better quality one sent from overseas for a *lot* less money. But if you're able to scam people for more and have no conscience ...then power to you.

Americans do not know about Droewors. We do have a few ex pats around the country that make biltong and droewors, but it's pricey. I miss many things from SA.. biltong the most though.. I may give building this a shot.
