Music possesses an unparalleled ability to transcend language and cultural barriers, weaving its magic into the very fabric of our existence. Its beauty lies in its diverse forms, from the soaring symphonies of classical masters to the raw, soulful expression of blues and jazz. Whether it's the rhythmic pulse of a tribal dance or the intricate melodies of a traditional folk song, music evokes profound emotions, stirs the soul, and connects us to something deeper than ourselves. It can transport us to other worlds, heal our wounds, and ignite our passions, reminding us of the power of human creativity and the enduring beauty of the human spirit.

Forty years ago, I was living in Japan. Women then just played the piano or violin, or sang. I am amazed that today, Japanese women dominate multiple music genres in Japan (especially J-Rock and Jazz) and are known around the world. I think why us old guys say that Band Maid is the greatest band ever is not only their ability to play instruments and compose hits, but also our recognition of the group's outstanding live stage presence, and that these band members are dedicated to their craft, to each other, and to their fans. They are humble yet very charismatic. Let's face it, a lot of rock genre bands are a collection of guys with big egos, poor manners, and not good roll models for their young fans. As you get a chance to watch the documentaries and interviews, you will see what I am talking about. There is more to this band than their music.

Love the reaction, Now for your question. In My Opinion: Listening to metal music in general have saved many lives, mine included. But listening to metal bands like Behemoth is on another level, first of all, Nergal " lead singer and guitarist " for behemoth is a satanist and also a brilliant man with a deep understanding of life & religions, especially Christianity and Islam, with that in mind he creates music & lyrics that touch you deep even if you haven't read the lyrics yet, and although when you read the lyrics, you must read between the lines to get where he is headed. So he awakes the rebel inside you of everything that you ever hated, loved, or had an issue with. Mostly words can't describe the feeling you get when you listen to this kind of music that deeply connects with your soul. So no, it doesn't mean that u r evil or a satanist or anything by listening to this kind of music. Moral of the story is, listen to whatever makes you feel better, if you learn something or take away something good from the music it's amazing, if not then you just enjoyed it, win win situation 😊

Nice one! This song almost year back was also my introduction to BABYMETAL. I was passing by BM for so long (despite Yuotube suggestions), but RATATATA broke my resistance last spring. I decided to listen to some more of them and fell in love. BM brings happiness and uplifting feel in my beloved heavy music. Never thought i need it, but here i am. It would be a great journey if you dive into BABYMETAL. They are already 15-years veterans of rock-scene. Why? Cause they started at the age of 11/12!!! Actual BABYMETAL consists of three girls (young ladies now): lead-singer Suzuka Nakamoto (stage name Su-metal) and two backup singers/dancers - Moa Kikuchi (Moametal) and Momoko Okazaki (Momometal, officail member till april 2023). Former member Yui Mizuno (Yuimetal) had to stop perform with the band due to health issues in 2017 and officially left the group in 2018. BABYMETAL have some great official music videos but they are absolutely live band. Even live music recording almost always better than studio records. BM is backed up live by group of wolrd-class session musicians known as Kami Band, and they are awsome! BABYMETAL blend so many genres together so there is almost no two similar songs of them. The old stuff, made when girls were teenagers, can be little confusing due to being agressively cute 😀 and full of contrast between little girls singing/dancing and wall of heavy music. Newer stuff shows them grown & matured musically. So I would sugges you to react first to three ages of BABYMETAL: - the early age (when they fought for their place on the stage) "Headbanger live Legend 1997", "Megitsune (official MV)"or "Road of Resistance live in Japan"; - midway (they earned the status but about to go trough some tough events) "KARATE (official MV)", "Distortion live at Legend Metal Galaxy" or "PA PA YA! live at Yokohama"; - nowdays (in their shine) "Divine attack" or "Monochrome" (both from live at PIA Arena 2023). It can be some issues with copyrights if you react to videos from BABYMETAL official YT channel, so you will probably have to use watermarks above the original video. But there are some other channels like Hymnodic with many BM live videos. Thank you for this reaction and welcome!!!

Great chemistry for sure. They're dope together. Canadian artists seem to have a harder time than Europeans sometimes ! Not just in Rock - Swollen Members were probably Canada's best Hip Hop group in the '90s and early '00s. Despite being initiated into the Rock Steady Crew with global recognition it seems only Mad Child in his solo capacity achieved any lasting recognition in the US. That's my perception anyway (from UK !).

Yes, Neil Peart plays all those drums. The whole drumkit turns so he is always facing the audience. Rish are considered Progressive rock. Progressive Rock has both jazz and classical music influences so instrumentals are common. YYZ is the indicator code for the Toronto International Airport and the beginning of the song is Morse Code for YYZ. Alex Lifeson the guitarist is also a licensed pilot and was flying them back to Toronto when the indicator code was came on and the beat stuck with Neil and Geddy. FYI Geddy Lee Vocals, Bass Pedals, and Keyboards Alex Lifeson Acoustic and electric guitar, mandola, pedals and later keyboards Neil Peart Drums, Percussion and Main Lyrist. Unfortunately Neil Peart passed from brain cancer in January of 2020. He is considered one of the best drummers in rock. Tom Sawyer was written in 1981. I have request Xanadu from Exit Stage Left live in Montreal This concert is from 1981 and it is an epic performance! Cheers

Nice comments. Band-Maid has a huge international following and they will be happy to supply you with all the information about the band that you will ever need. "Thrill was the first song that I had heard from them some 8 years ago and I immediately became enamored with this remarkable band. Their songs are never cookie cutter but always seen to fresh and new while still possessing that distinctive Band-Maid sound. The more that one dives down the Band-Maid pigeonhole, the more appreciative one becomes of the genius intricacies of this incredible band.

This track is off the charts for repeat listening too - never gets skipped on the playlist 😉 There's a whole world of rap from the UK. Apart from the well-known greats like Dizzee Rascal and Dave there are the lesser known (outside UK) creative maestros like Dabbla and (Jamaican) Ocean Wisdom. Check out Dabbla (ft. Graziella) - Psychoville and Dabbla - Get It Feat. Ocean Wisdom. Then there's the (now-ended) world of Plan B. Plan B's track 'Charmaine' never fails to leave people a bit speechless when they first hear it through.

Their influences are...diverse... and that's putting it mildly (they steal a LOT from Metallica, for one, it's true). As I've said before, you can hear sounds from so many bands that it might be easier to list the bands they haven't stolen from than the ones they have. The great thing about their thievery is that they then play the bits better than the original bands did, and in combinations that create something entirely new. So you gt this effect with Band-Maid where they are simultaneously comfortingly familiar, and yet excitingly new at the same time.

Japanese rock bands started in the mid-1960s. Those early bands were influenced by the Ventures, the Beatles, and some others. Band-Maid was not influenced by any particular band/musician, and every member of the band had different taste in music. For example: Miku (rhythm quitar/main lyricist/backup vocal/band founder): Ringo Shiina (Japanese rock singer) Kanami (lead guitar/composer): Carlos Santana and Larry Carlton Akane (drum): Maximum the hormone (Japanese HM band) MISA (bass): Smashing Pumpkins and Paz Lenchantin (bassist) Saiki (lead vocal/lyricist): Namie Amuro (Japanese pop singer)

I sounds like you were not yet ready Hi Ren. May i suggest listening to more of his rap tracks first. His bars are hard hitting if you want to really understand them. Once you have an appreciation then go rewatch Hi Ren, and i think you'll appreciate it a bit more. But even if Hi Ren isnt your cup of tea, thats ok cos Ren will have you covered with something else.

Do you know his backstory about him being bitten by a tick and was wrongly diagnosed for mental disorder when he had Lyme disease?
