I dislike parliament a lot but this would be bad imo

People on here seem to not to understand, for a general election to be held, parliament MUST be dissolved and so King Charles III did so in 2024 on the advice of Prime Minister Sunak. This drama shows the king dissolving parliament without the advice of the Prime Minister and not to hold a general election after, in effect giving the king dictatorship power

I've seen British people complain about their country being ran by money hungry crazed old people just like in the U.S. and as an American citizen it is in our rights to get rid of any politician who doesn't represent us even to the grand scheme of taking them all away and having a clean slate with new people. I believe your king should do the same if he truly rules for the whole of England and not just for himself. As a distant relative of your country I feel and fear we both have something we both want.

Always bugs me how they dress Charles in the wrong rank. He is dressed as an Admiral, not as Admiral of the Fleet that all monarchs reach at King. Additionally he held the rank since 2012, before even becoming King.

No-one wanted to even try get rid of him as he was far too interested in having a good time to be a tyrant! That is why he is called the 'Merry Monarch' . However, he was an able political animal - ruling without a Parliament when able and not pushing matters too far. He was also a good father (no children by his Portuguese wife - who he respected and refused to divorce and instead fathering quite a few out of wedlock - many whose decendants are alive today >>> Dukes of Buccleuch and St Albans)

Under no circumstances can the PM remain seated when the King rises!

I think the Monarch, and any other ceremonial head of state, should be able to use certain powers to uphold the law and defend the constitution (yes the UK technically has a constitution, it’s just unwritten). Think how much more stable our country would be, say if our Late Queen said “No.” to PM Boris Johnson to the illegal Prorogation of Parliament in 2019 I think it was.
