How’s the swat going? Any updated videos using it?? Would love to see some 👍
Sold the swat and bought a Hiker trailer out of Columbus Indiana. The guy that bought the swat was excited for it. Our new hiker trailer is the same concept but nicer. Thanks for the comment
@@4xpoppop oh ok cool!
Something rises up inside of me every time I hear Yesterday. Men ain't supposed to cry. 😮
Those rear galleys become problematic in a heavy rain in the middle of the night when you're tucked away inside, and you hear your stomach rumbling. MAKE access to your galley/pantry from INSIDE....DUHHHHH!!!!
Nice pencil! Yes, I got satisfied :)
looks good
yummy
yay
HAHAHAH
SO COOL!!!
How big is it ? Lxwxh
It was built on a 4x7 tractor supply trailer
Nice work...I want to build some like this but for a moble detailing rig
Good job, I'm making a truck camper too. ua-cam.com/video/eOEmG3xBdRg/v-deo.html
Just sold mine because it only tows 1100lbs. The pilot tows 4500.
7’ long with a galley. Can you sleep in it?
I later took out the center wall so I could and did sleep in it. There is another video showing that modification.
Nice little build! Any video of the inside?? I was going to go with 1/2" ply for the sides, and 1/8" ply for the roof (a lot lighter and easier I think to work with). I did see a fella's video he used sheet metal for his roof.. might go that way...
Thanks, no pics for inside but was pretty plain. I later modified it to sleep inside. Used it a few times then sold it when we bought a travel trailer. You’re right 1/2 and 1/4 would definitely be easier to work with although 3/4 wasn’t a problem. It weighed 750 lbs complete. Good luck on your build.
You must really hate your wife to put a wall between her and you .
Was for cargo only, no people were in it. And I love my wife very much, married 45 years.
thank you, before this i couldn't tie my shoes
I was thinking the same. But, how about building a bed. The width that goes from outer wheel to outer wheel and the length that goes from end to end. A rectangular shape. Then, drilling holes straight through on all corners and bolting it on top so that you will have much more floor space. You can build separate cabinets on the bottom half and built onto the top half. That's my plan. Nice built.
I actually modified it later to just that. Took out the center wall and made the doors bigger so I could get in it. I bought a sleeping pad from Amazon that fit perfect inside it. Worked great. I’ve since moved on though to a travel trailer and sold my little trailer. The guy was thrilled to get it so it’s all good. Good luck with yours.
Build the frame. Spray the entire thing with 😏"FLEX SEAL"
How the hell you get 2 people in one side of it . you know if it was me I put all the storage in the back and I put my wife on the other side of that wall .🤣😂🤣😂
Sounds like a plan. Actually it was first built just to haul our camping equipment, tents and chairs etc. I modified later to actually sleep inside. Worked great but I sold it and bought a much larger travel trailer.
How many lb wright width length R u selling
R u still doing yutube? I want to buy a trailer.
Nice. Where & how much was the kit?
That's an excellent job my friend I'm on the way to making mine on my channel as we speak that is a nice you've you've given me some great ideas and you don't have to put framework all over to waste a lot of time doing that nonsense you proved that that your plywood together make your box and that by itself is study enough that is a great job my friend excellent I love it..
Hello is this Tiny camper waterproof?
I never had any water get in it, so yes I guess it is waterproof. I don’t have it anymore, sold it this summer. It served me well with no problems. Thanks
Молодец, мужик ! Очень толково .
Now, teach your grandson... and help him build his. Good job, love the name.
Dapper Dan thanks, really appreciate that,
I'm not real familiar with prices but what's a general "cheap" price to pay for a used trailer liked that?
David McCue I paid $325 for this one. It was basically new. Tractor Supply trailer.
this is a very informative video, thanks!
S Z thank you
Sides are gona rot out?? Am i the only one who sees this
A Ellis yep you’re right, probably will rot out in 20 or so years.
@@4xpoppop I love the trailer tho...and if sealed it will probably be fine...not so much about the rot as it it's to extra moisture finding its way in all during said 20 years
So far so good nice progress sir 👍👍Good luck cannot wait to see what happens next!!
I noticed that your doors are not sealed in any way.
Rick, I didn’t seal them but the way I trimmed them I’ve never had water get in. The trailer has been modified slightly since this video, but it’s sat outside since I built it and is completely dry inside. Could have of course easily have sealed them. Thanks
Hey 3x, I posted Some questions on your other video, but I just found this and I’m getting many of them answered. It looks great.
This is exactly the video I was looking for! I’m thinking about doing this very thing as my project this summer. I have a lot of questions. What does it weigh? How does a trailer? Does it get ridiculously hot in there? Do you store it inside? Now that it has been a few years, how do you like it? What would you do different? Thanks for any input. Kevin
Kevinism A way of life I think it weighed 725 lbs. I store it outside and it’s held up well. I have modified it since this video though. Only slept in it a few times and never when it was too hot, so can’t answer that. It’s on a 4x7 tractor supply trailer.
Stayed for the music.
this was interesting although i have to say the factory air ride system should be sealed even under load and sitting extended periods of time it shouldnt leak down.
No windows? Feels like a coffin without ventilation. Lol
I was thinking of doing this with my 5'X8' utility trailer I bought from tractor supply in 2007,but then I thought of a used popup trailer.
Very cool. Have you had a lot of issues with water leaking through the doors? I didn't see a seal of any kind so I'm curious how towing it in a rainstorm works out?
Joshua Lincoln thanks, no I never had any problems with leaking, although I don’t recall ever towing it in a rainstorm. It has been sitting uncovered any is still totally dry inside.
@@4xpoppop That's encouraging, I'm about 90% done with my build right now and that only large thing I have left is the doors, they are curved so trimming them may be challenging. Glad to hear that you've had no issues.
Thank you, You are building what I have been thinking of building, but haven't seen any evidence of on you tube. I have thought of doing it with a 5x8.
Thanks William, it was a fun project and worked well for what it was. Good luck on your build.
"High Five" on the "Kreg" pocket hole jig, they're awesome ... !
Nice need some wimdows in there brother .be hot as heck
It seems like the plywood would make it pretty heavy. Could you build it with two by fours then use metal, for sides and roof. I'm thinking of doing this to my 6 foot by 14 foot single axle trailer. But I'm afraid plywood would be really heavy
What did you use for paint ? And the what did you use on the roof ?... Awesome job
too heavy for crv
It weighs 725 lbs, no problem. The CRV was rated at 1500.
Good job!
Looks good, Dad!
Nice job...
That bear is so big
Cool
