it's not that serious.
A Sharp Decline: Jaws
When Jaws erupted on the cinematic landscape nearly a half century ago, executives smelled blood in the water. A dozen years and three sequels later, however, they had failed to hook a bounty that rivaled the original and the beached carcass of the franchise continued to fester with each attempt.
Were there ever any uncharted waters left for the filmmakers to explore? Or had the initial spark only provided enough bait and tackle for a single expedition? Grab a chum bucket and bid farewell to any Spanish ladies, we’re casting off in search of answers.

ASD Wrap-Up: Enter the Matrix & Resurrections
The best video I've watched explaining this subject!
Lost happens when a creative writer reads a book about ancient Eastern religions and their influence on Christianity. It is full of things like Zoroastrianism, Gnosticism, Manichaeism, Roman dualistic mystery religions, and Indian and Egyptian mythology. After putting down a two thousand page book while he is still confused and everything he sees is gnostic or has a dualistic nature and thinking about true God and false creator Demiurge, and the level of godliness that humans can achieve.. he put together a story about an island that all of those things are realities and bunch of miserable humans are tested in a very real psychological way to find their place amongst those gods and angles and demand and some other humans that know these gods and know how to serve them and know how to live in that island. But after a few episodes, he understands that he should go hardcore deep into the human psyche and fight between good and evil and the meaning of creation, servitude, trust, abandonment, faith, and reason. He decides to blow a hydrogen bomb in the middle of it and change a mystery religion into a postmodern view of the world that everything is Wizard of OZ and the man behind a curtain and it alright if you don't know just have faith and modern physic and a 70 commune with Indian names and time travel and six season later without getting anywhere and burning all of his notes from that book, end it with the most un-understandable concept in Gnostisim and mystery religions that is reaching the level of godness and ability to creat worlds by glimps of will ( dont ask me nobody knows what that means ) experiens of beaing an all powerfull creator and the ultimate gole of the Oneness .. just put this concept at its end and expect that audiance say wow we undrestand this conceptual salad and here you go the most powerfull writer of all times.
Worst ending ever 😢
I hate loomis for this he sucks
In what world is JP3 better than JP2? That is just objectively wrong lol.
It's so silly that they opened the park after people died. We have no zoos in real life now because people died in carnivore accidents!
Xeno veggie tales was the only funny joke in this entire video
Loomis is a true hero
Nah, the 1st,2nd,3rd and Jurassic world are genuinely good movies all be it having flaws, they are appreciated more but fallen kingdom and dominion are just confusing movies. I got annoyed when the movies started treating the raptors like puppies, is blue genetically supposed to be weak? Or not act like an animal? There have been multiple times where blue should have attacked and mualed Owen or random people because it’s a predator. The movies don’t feel dangerous as the raptors did in the original movies. Hell, even the raptors in the third movie was terrifying but now these movies feel like a cartoon, the freaking cartoons such as camp Cretaceous feel more dangerous than the movies now.
Okay I'm finished more videos needed.
The V part if AVP1 is prerty good no? There's an hour of A V-ing P with good practical effects augmented with pretty good cgi. Don't get all the whining from so many about this one.
I like it though, it gives a good sense of mystery to the movie!
26:40 hommies a pro ball swallower. That thing is huge & he takes it like a boss.
Predator 2 is awesome. Whats King Willy a stereotype of, all those Rasta Mafia Bosses in LA 16:20
14:16 uh what bruh
26:32 A "gootortionist". It was right there how'd you miss that.
Who gives a sh*t I like Prometheus. "Continuity is the hobgoblin of small minds" -John Varley
Takes dynamite lol
Well he is very resilient so you can go 300 shots from a 9mm im assuming prob 30-40 shots from a 12 gauge or you can go big and hit him with 2-5 shots from 50bmg and if he survives that then well just run and he will probably be crippled if he survives
Bro doesn’t die
Do they still make such strategy games today?
My entire childhood on this thing.
Predator 2 is trashy and kinda campy but I absolutely think is such an underrated sequel… The Predator 2018 on the other hand is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen in my life lol
Scott didn't "discovered" Giger, he was working years before with Alien creator: Dan O'Bannon, who also brought other crucial people into the production.
I think he meant he personally didn't know who he was before that moment, and ya know, discovered this artist he'd not known of before.
Hold on, Scott didn't "conceive" David, he just copied Kubrick and Phillio K. Dick's Replicants. And reducted them to the absurd so illiterate fans thought he was breaking some ground. The trope is very old.
I mean he actually 'conceived' the character (not androids themselves) which is all I think that meant. You seriously think there were no artificial people in sc-fi before PKD, clearly you never read vintage sci-fi, it's been going on since like 1938 give or take. Literally thousands of sci-fi stories before PKD, an artifical person is one of the more simple recurring story pieces. 'reducted to the absurd' haha. It's a fake person that's a slave, that turns against its creators and goes a bit crazy, that's literally almost exactly the same thing as D.A.D.O.E.S. You might come up with a bunch of big words to describe how it's actually so incredibly different but yeah it's not people like you just like to feel superior and like they see something only a couple others might have. And why does any scifo story have to have a deep allegorical meaning, why can't it just be a crazy android. Deeper meaning is cool but sometimes a story is just a story.
"Shark still looks fake" - Marty McFly
Lol well having seen Alien Romulus twice I think it’s a step in the right direction. It wasn’t perfect but as an Alien(s) fan I did enjoy it.
There should have been a clause written into the origional movie contract. "There will be no sequels as no one will be able to come close to this origional movie. Ever."
I am also just disappointed that they never had the guts to just make a movie about the predators hunting different alien species. Not every movie needs to include us humans.
A sharp decline after "Prey" was released? That movie did the predator franchise justice and was arguably the best, right after the first one. Only "The Predator" was extremely bad in its Story, with pretty forgettable characters. The special effects were the only redeeming part of that movie, but they sure didn't save it.
real close to my heart here guys....be careful
It was close to our hearts as well. And the heartbreak it brought us is basically what motivated us to make this whole channel.
the courtroom sequence seemed the closest to the original film
JP is Spielberg’s top 5.
This one was insane. Maybe more than Star Wars? You had three films and a Commodore game and then decades of nothing just to put out Crystal Skull (garbage that I won’t even just watch to this day).
Prometheus sucks
Guys, he died in Halloween 2. Halloween 3 fans know this, Carpenter knew this. Thorn fans didn't seem to get it though?
Jaws 2 and Halloween 2 are the same film. They wanted the Shark and Myers to go full power to the point of ridiculousness. Both sequels are really good but nt great and the thing going for both of them are they are set in Amity and Haddonfield.
Lmao if I had a dollar for every cynical movie reviewer UA-camr I saw who talks about movies like they’re the worst thing ever with no redeeming qualities, I’d be able to quit my day job.
Jaws 2 was excellent.
Jaws 3 aren't special effects you simpleton, it's how the 3D effects transfere to film.
Nothing will ever top the story, the characters and the actors in the original. The first sequel went more action, which it had to do. 3D and revenge are terrible movies, they are indefensible.
Lol well this is another youtuber who doesn't know anything about anything because jaws 2 is considered by film historians to be a highly underrated movie
The first three movies are masterpieces, the only thing that ends the series are the ideas George Lucas came up with. And that's why the crystal skull is as bad as it is. But crystal skull isn't that bad, it feels like a classic adventure. Now the new movie, that should be shot in the back of the head and left by a river dreaming of the rabbits.
-Jaws 2 was more or less a slasher film on the water with a shark instead of Voorhees or Myers. It benefits from some good scares, John Williams' score, effective cinematography and a gripping performance from a reluctant Roy Scheider -Jaws 3D was a bizarre, fascinating and mindless wannabe summer blockbuster that at least had a giant scary mama shark, a disturbing death and a some good atmosphere. -Jaws: The Revenge is by far the worst. It definitely killed the franchise, probably for the best.
Jaws 3 and "Revenge" are comical because of how bad they are. 2 is okayish at best but is still watchable. Jaws is one of the best movie ever because it has everything. Great actors (Scheider, Shaw and Dreyfus are amazing and complementary to one another), incredible music, beautiful settings and almost no shark because it wasn't working and brought this horror of the unknown à la Hitchcock with incredible suspense. I still watch it at least once a year.
Please disclose these as opinions. otherwise i am not going to know what to tell my friends what i think of jaws and jaws 2 and jaws 3 and jaws 4 and jaws 5. no jaws 5 you say? maybe not so smart after all 😏
AHHHH! OPINIONS! you ruined my philosophical framework with what you two did on predator 2
Give it a rest. It wasn't that bad.
Your take on Jaws 2 is an L for sure but nobody is perfect.
