Fun stuff, guys!
Sounding TIGHT!
Best I have seen here. Tempo et al.
Still one of the best renditions of Janowski on UA-cam. Ian Geller is amazing.
What a nice and unusual comment from a conductor
The best version I've found on UA-cam so far.
What a beautiful work. Thank you.
Glorious!
Jesus shows us the ultimate Love.
Beautiful solo.
It's almost painful to hear this song in English haha. They did an alright job though.
like this song a lot. will sing in this Easter program Road to the cross at St.Theresa's Parish Kaneshie Ghana
This is the BEST performance of this piece that I've seen posted here! Congratulations -- tremendous and excellent performance.
Ko Otani. Look up the soundtracks for Shadow of the Colossus and Haibane Renmei. They are amazing.
The soloist is Ian Geller.
What more in a pianist do you WANT? so perfect!
The soloist is incredible!
Where can I buy this arrangement?
Oh, there are probably a few out there that no one knows about.
Love this song i used to sing this my schools chior!!!
What happened to the ending?! It stops at 6.56!
Thanks for this! Have been waiting to hear this piece for over 30 years.
Thank you for posting - a very encouraging piece first thing in the morning.
Nice performance of the not so often performed Psalm 150, the last large religious work of Anton Bruckner.
Nice performance of the not so often performed Mass No. 1 of Anton Bruckner. Will the Credo and the Agnus Dei also be uploaded?
this was by far one of my favorite performances as a singer. i'm really glad this video is on here!
Im singing this for high school. It's so beautiful =)
It is remarkable, but ...
I once sang this in a choir. It is definitely a powerful song. It was hard to sing it.
Truly a challenging piece but well worth the effort. This choir does a spectacular job with it. Yeshahr koh-ach to all!
Actually well sung and played, however, for this you really need a bigger organ, one that shakes the ground you stand on. Good effort though. Not too much one can do with the size of the organ you have I suppose.
Quite an exceptional expression of a masterful arrangement of this passionate prayer. Very moving. DePaul Chorus, Mr Blackwelder, Mr. Geller-- well done!
Why are you doing this down a tone?
interesting conductor.... interesting style
If you are an oboe player... you would rather not have it slower!! The original with oboe is very LONG for an oboist!!!
Beautiful soft singing of Bach's immortal masterpiece.
Nice performance..very good harmony...this is one of my all time favorites..
An enjoyable realization of this anthem; the performance is remarkable for its clarity of text, especially for such a large chorus. Thanks for posting this video -- Purcell's music isn't very well known in the USA these days except among specialists.
Tooooooooooooo fast... besides that... good.
Nope. Yea-su is the Latin pronunciation but as this is a piece in English it should be gee-su. I guess it must be different in America where the Latin in singing argument is probably less conservative (which ironically means they would go with the older form of the language rather than how it has been bastardised over the years). This isn't a debate, it's just what I grew up with.
Very nicely sung (good to hear the inner harmony brought out) and sensitively accompanied. Perhaps just a fraction too fast, though, especially at the beginning, and Wesley's grace notes were omitted (be-e- -fore my face). But, on the whole, a most worshipful performance.
go to sing this in tuesday
did they just sing yea-su? hmm
i think the best longest version of this that i have heard, LOVE the choir, like an organ except for this piece atleast definately better, i am not a savant but i find in a cathedral music like this goes really deep, really powerfull stuff. bach ftw!
That crescendo into the sweetest part of the whole chorale wasn't very tasteful! The vowel choices are also dubious. It's good as a whole, though.
Beautiful Melody....I like it better in Hebrew....
