I'd be honest, Ten Hag for all his success hasn't left a mark at Manchester United yet. His playstyle still lacks identity for me. And even though this season he had unprecedented amount of injuries to work with, United isn't supposed to drop at 8th with the squad they had. With that said, its still the right decision to keep him. United needs squad overhaul and as our good friend Rajesh keeps reminding us "a structure", before they think of doing anything with the manager.

I dont think the point is arteta wont have a better team in future... but will not get chances like this season(where teams are relatively week even city and arsenal having momentum)and last season(when they dont have europe and was a wierd season)... and even mid table tean attracting really good managers making PL standard even higher... so PL will be way more competetive... and winning it way more difficult...

The example taken by Rajesh can be expanded, in my opinion. If you want to make a comparison of how Pep was able to replace players, bring players on and bench them , replace defenders after defenders each seasons by spending millions and build the bench by spending similar amount of money that others spend on their first team, go atleast 4 years back when they dint have the whole team ready. They are spending like others "NOW". Pep hasn't won all his trophies last season, he has been winning consistently for last 4 years. While others were waiting to sell their players before they could buy another, mancity was playing shopping with no repercussions. Others couldn't compete, even a well built team like Liverpool with one of the best first teams, coz they couldn't build their bench as fast as city, nobody can. It took them season after season to do that, properly.

A point was made that Utd didn't want to do much (try to win) and only tried for a goal after going 1-2 down but then that was all the team aimed at holding on to, given a goal was chalked off for offside in the 89th minute. If you look at the bigger picture, Utd had only taken 1 point in the last 8 away games against the top 8 (continuing from the last season) and given the turn of events in the match (especially when a goal is cancelled out so late), it was fair that Utd were holding onto a draw. Hell, I was literally texting Rajesh right away that please just see out and don't concede. And for all the talk about Arsenal knocking on the door, I cannot remember Onana being troubled or called upon apart from the Saka save. Utd lost concentration and couldn't see the game out.
