Alex Neist - Building a Brand That People Care About
Alex Neist the founder and CEO of Hostage Tape - a mouth tape company that helps people reduce snoring and sleep better.
Mouth taping at night might seem crazy, but our bodies are built to breathe through our noses. Research suggests that many people breathe through their mouths while sleeping, which increases the risk of sleep apnea and other health issues. By applying a flexible and breathable piece of tape, you can prevent mouth breathing and potentially decrease these complications.
In this conversation, we talk about how Alex built the company that has grown to $50M+ in sales and having sponsorships with the UFC and Joe Rogan in only 3 years.

I see #1, at the same time my mind is asking how long I keep my eyes closed then oh I see number 1. Can you have image and voice? I also feel my thoughts. I'm here rn trying to weigh the option of anti depressants. I'm scared they'll quiet too much.

Its a bunch of bs....if you dont believe you can do it you wont see an apple. Everyone sees darkness when they close their eyes. But not everyone has faith in their own imagination. And the power of suggestion will convince a whole lot of people that they done have an inner eye because they will try it once, see darkness, and then automatically count themselves out. This is mind control on a massive scale.

I do have an inner monologue. I have been looking for a long time to find another person with similar to my experiences. I have 2 types of inner monologue. One i control. The other is entirely out of my control but acts as a teacher, a therapist, a friend and sometimes not so much of a friend. Often it will be mean and convince me to act in a certain way. It often blows my mind because it's manipulation will have in the end had some unforeseeable impact that works too my benefit. It's incredibly interesting and i can't find another example anywhere. It started off training me. It was extremely mean and cruel and would go on that way until i broke and further. Then when i can't take it no more the voice would suddenly become really nice for a couple hours. Show me incredible things i never thought possible. It was like magic back then. One day it told me to do something and it would end. I did and the voice has been mostly under control since.

I have multiple inner monologues going on in my head at once sometimes. For example, I can make my narrator voice say whatever I want while thinking about something else. Like, while I'm typing this I have my louder voice reading out what I'm typing, while my quieter voice is saying what I'm genuienly thinking. One, I can control if I choose, the other constantly goes.

It's fascinating to think how differently we experience life. For me the answer is number 5, I see absolutely nothing in my mind. I get the concept though because I do have visual dreams. I'm just totally unable to do it when I'm awake. I also don't have an inner voice or hear music or anything inside my head. My thoughts are some sort of quiet impulses, it's hard to describe. And it's usually very easy for me to empty my mind and think about absolutely nothing. I've recently realized that many people meditate for years and years to achieve something like this. Although I feel I'm sort of missing out, I think that my world is a very peaceful and serene place.

This is the closest thing to my experience . I hear and see nothing. Just a kind of conceptual thinking. I think in sentences but it’s as though I am actually talking using my throat muscles to sound out the words silently.

So the Paradox is; Desirability emerges from Either Scarcity or Mimicry … Or both? Because Scarcity exists in nature of human existence and human also exists together… Now, People desire Bitcoin to go to moon because Everyone wants it go to moon ( Herd Instinct or Collective euphoria) OR It will Go to moon because of it’s Scarcity because its never be more than 21million and it is predestined to go it moon. So that’s why people desire it.
