Hi man, did the open bottom in the holster for the barrel came like this by default? or did you had to make a special request for it to be so?
I love you dad❤❤ rest in peace
May you rest in peace dad.I love you.❤❤
Awesome and great way to show the usage of the compartments and what and how it would fit👍🏽 How’s bag holding up since some time has passed now?
Thank you for not wasting my time clearing your gun. I could care less if the gun goes bang as it will not harm the viewers.
You look like a guy who takes his coffee pretty seriously.
I know this is a bit older of a video but, do you happen to know if the 509 centurion would fit a fns9 compact?
Let's go OH!!! Some very useful tips!
What optic mount did you use that allows you to use the "iron" sights when the Red Dot is removed?
That poor GL19😂
I just purchased a takedown and a magpul stock so I was really interested in your video till you said looting to live, that goes against everything I believe and thats where I stopped watching.
Thank you
Man purse
10:20 you can adjust the tension of that contact area by rotate the lut
Will that fit a fn 509 compact ?
Yes it will, but I would imagine they would make a specific model for that as well
It's a great stock for sure. I suppose you can play around with that space under the butt pad but if I did so it would only be for something I'd almost never need to access. Everything has it's limitations with a primary purpose in mind. Magpul definitely hit a home run with this one.
Really appreciate this video. For some reason their marketing makes it seem like you can slide a krink or any pistol AR into that compartment - but I think its much smaller than advertised. Thanks for the great video!
As Ling as it's the 85L version, you would be able to fit in up to an 18" barreled platform in as long as it has a side folding stock.
What belt do you run with that?
It's the blue alpha gear belt. Another alternative that is compatible would be the Ronin Tactics Senshi. They are bothe equal in my eyes as far as outer belts, the the blue alpha gear inner belt is the better one in my opinion.
Nice. I just ordered an Optio and emailed them and asked to change it to a Centurion. They were super nice and said they could upgrade it for the price difference, no worries. I waited like 3 days to ask. Super excited to see it when it comes in.
You dry fire, isn't it bab for the hammer ? I eard it's not a problem with the 1022, is that right ?
You shouldn't dry fire any rimfires, but I have never had it before an issue with the 10/22's
Do you recommend the Tier 1 over Dara Holster for 509T?
I have no experience with Dara, but I can guarantee that T1C make their holsters for good duty/combative applications. I believe they both use the same thumb release systems now.
hey man, did you over build yours? Upgrade to Premium Kydex+? Thicker Material? Buy Support Piece? Im looking at buying now and would appreciate your input. thank you!
I did. Sorry for the late response..I upgraded to the thicker kydex, but there wasn't an option for the support piece at the time of my purchase, as it was newly released when I bought it.
fmj second mag i do that for animals i have one mag for humans and one mag for like mt lions that have thick hides so i need that extra velocities from the fmj .
What belt are you using?
great video, thank you
I just purchased the FN 509 Tactical and did an exhaustive search for a holster and am so glad to come across your review of Tier 1. I am purchasing this holster because of your review which was very clear and concise with no BS fluff. Thanks for the information!!!!
Happy I could help. Good call on your purchase of the 509. Safariland now makes a holster for the 509 as well.
@@gunsgearcoffee5322 Can I ask which safariland holster works for the 509t? Have you tried it and how does it compare to the T1?
I don’t know if anyone else has asked already, but what is the length of your X95 as you have it stored in the bag?
The overall length of an x95 without a muzzle device is 26 1/4". So mine is right around 27" with the A2 flash hider attached.
@@gunsgearcoffee5322 thank you for the response!
@@kittrae anytime dude. New video in the works.
Nice review bro. Good gear setup too!
I’m a huge fan of Tier1 Concealed. I already have their Axis Elite appendix holster along with several of their morale patches and apparel. I just ordered the Centurion holster for my Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS with a Streamlight TLR-8AG. I also got the Safariland plate and fork along with the SAFARILAND SINGLE STRAP LEG SHROUD W/ DFA. Hopefully everything flows well with my Kore Essentials battle belt and Scorpion G-Code soft shell mag pouches. Luckily the holster will also work with the Gen 5 Glock 17/19X/44/45…, I’m still not sure what my next Glock will be. I’m leaning more towards the 19X or 45 MOS. Love the Gen 5s since I’m left handed.
Running?
Yep. Running.
Great video. Good ideas.
Thanks. I have a follow up video coming soon to show other considerations with this setup.
Kind of wish I saw this before I ordered a T-Rex Ragnarok (not a bad holster at all, but no retention).
I had the trex arms ragnarok as well when I had the inforce aplc but got a better flashlight and upgraded the holster as well.
Thanks for the thorough review. Super helpful.
Really appreciate you loaded that up to see how it holds everything. What sold me is that you were able to put a fully loaded Kit inside that and still have extra space.
but how are you gonna survive the post-apocalyptic world without coffee
:”If it ain’t broke” is a lame excuse. We should always be seeking to improve, Just because something works for us doesn’t mean something else won’t work better.
I can agree, but at the same time tons of the 2a community is pinching pennies to buy ammo and training currently so some gear that works sufficiently and comfortably slightly more so than the current latest and greatest can be put on the back burner. Mindset and training trumps Gucci gear and hard keyboard taps. This is a very old video of mine (possibly my first) and I have adapted enough to the phrase of “good enough” to always seeking more, but you won’t see me chime in with comments such as yours.
How did you make the sling? What‘s the slider part to adjust the length and what parts are you using to attach it to the stock?
I solely use paracord with stopper knots through the qd attachment points. As far as the slider, I use a modified prussiks hitch/slip knot.
@@gunsgearcoffee5322 nice! Thank you
What type of mounting system are you using with the tier one. QLS, with or without plate? G-code?
I stick with the safari land qls as I have it on 2 of my belts and prefer it to the gcode
Thanks for making this.
Can you do a new review on the Tier 1 OWB MORA?
Great review.
thank you for the video. Great option. I have been using a vanguard rcs for my carry but I like the idea of being able to use my TLR HL and TLR 1 and 2. I hope one day they make them for my OLight's.
Excellent video !!
Thanks man!
Still Impressed by the gun!
Website shows options for CZ p-09... nice!
You sold this bag to me! needed a bag for my 14.5 with Law folder and other gear!
They make a smaller duffel that would work well for a 14.5 folder. It just depends on how much additional gear you want to put in it.
@@gunsgearcoffee5322 so you think the 45L would work for me? My rifle is 25.5" folded and the overall dimensions posted for the bag is 23" so that's why I was thinking I should get the 85L.
Good review. I recently picked one up and it looks like they changed the release mechanism. Just push it backwards now. And one thing that did surprise me, like you mentioned, is how much more wider it is than the safariland 6354do.
I have played with a spetzgear holster that has the same mech for thumb release, and it could be/ most likely is a training issue, but I still prefer this mechanism over the newer one they utilize. Where it is wider and sits farther from the body, it is great for drawing when wearing armor with side armor and/or pouches. Whats your opinion of the holster so far, and what pew did you get it for?
@@gunsgearcoffee5322 yeah, I could see where the wider and just push inward could be easier/smoother. I bought it for the x300 and Zev oz9. You could use a 17,19, etc as well. Overall I like it. Once you get some reps in its smooth. They make good holsters. I too have had their holsters since the agis leather snap days. I'll probably be ordering a axis slim for the OZ9.
@@rhodey2952 glad you like it. This is my 3rd holster from them, but my first owb from them. I looking to get the surefire xsc for the p365 for the wife, so ill have to replace the current xiphos.
@@gunsgearcoffee5322 If you weren’t aware, Streamlight is releasing the TLR-7sub. It’s 500 lumens and 5,000 candela vs the Surefire’s 300 lumens and 2,000 candela. Also costs half as much for twice the light output. Worth looking at for the P365/365XL.
@@sethrich5998 i am aware of that, but you are comparing the xsc (gross) to anything streamlight (yuck) when what i run is the x300u (1000 lumens, 16,500 candella) homework boys. Homework.
You know you've had enough coffee when you can thread the needle on your sewing machine while it's still running!
Thanks for the review. I just ordered one. Couldn't completely get away from Safariland though. Ordered it with the QLS system.
I agree. I still love safariland and their products, I just happen to like everything about the centurion and what it offers me.
I have a 509 tactical compact, do u think the compact with work with that holster? They only offer a full size 509 holster
I'm sure it would
How’s it held up? I’m looking at holsters like this.
Still going strong! From what I have seen, they have updated their hood closure, but mine being the original still performs as well as the day I got it.
