Do you know approximately how much power the front runners are making? I read the rules and its so open i just dont know. 17 in of vacuum and "stock size valve spring" leaves a lot on the table. Ive got a car i might want to build but i dont want to get smoked being under powered.

Indy car was not a big draw at Pocono unfortunately. They have actually been attracting really good crowds of late- but that’s because their racing is actually exciting.

Yes, one of the officials with the Mega Truck series. Update last night was he was stable and breathing on his own.
Hey Chris, what happen tonight? heard somebody got seriously injured
Truck couldn't slow down at the end of his run and went through the gap in the concrete on the south end, took out the chain link fence and had staff scattering. He hit someone who works for the Wicked North Tuff Trucks. People rushed in and lifted the truck off him. They announced before the end of the show that he was at the hospital breathing on his own and in stable condition. I was filming that run...but I didn't post it for obvious reasons.
@@chrismurphyracing94 reminds me of what happen a few years ago when brandy martin was pulling dairy deere and hit the wall by them ambulance and almost hitting me. To me it sounds like this couldve been prevented sincd if the truck couldnt slow down then why couldnt he just kill the engine before coming in contact with the wall? Im sure there are so many questions just like that one being asked right now. Ive been going to the buck for several years now and this is the first opening night i missed in a long time yet i have never seen anybody get seriously injured like that up there. From what ive heard PSP and BMP are investigating it but to me sounds his brakes failed or throttle stuck wide open.

ah, home. grew up in Abbottstown. Every Saturday, some Sundays and Fridays as well. Always could tell when the races started up, you could hear em half way to Hanover. Actually you could hear them in some parts of Hanover towards Mcsherrystown once you got past the hill. Been to Linclon more times than I can count. Williams Grove and Hagerstown as well. Life was different there 30 years ago when I was a teenager. Couldn't pay me to move back to PA ever again though.
Moved here , well near Maple Grove Raceway, from Ohio . Went to Tri County Speed way every Wed. & Sat. nights till they paved it. Was big half mi. high banking fast. Was always in competition with Eldoro , on who was the fastest half mi. Also other tracks near Cincy. Took some getting use to, up here , but I like the area overall. Took one year & went to every dirt track around here, there are so many great ones. Wondered where u like & reside now , and why u wouldn't move back. There is trouble & bad politics always lurking.

Dirt modified from late 70s and 80s had best body styles,today's body's are to bulky and do not go through turns as nice as the older styles..give me a 80s style anytime ,broadside turns not try and drive through
Today's bodies are a direct evolution of the Balough (spelling ?) Syracuse DownForce Car. Some tracks they can drive right thru the turns without lifting off the pedal. (Bridgeport). Work on a pit crew now and see how unbulky the bodies are. How they are easily repaired, replaced, refitted. Etc.

Sucks for the guy. This was Jason Dolick's first race back in a sprint car after a road accident 2 years ago.
This was the first race I ever went to. Even with a Lap 1 crash and the race being called early for rain, it was still a cool experience. Glad I got to see the last IndyCar Pocono race for a while if not ever.
