This notebook cover was make with 4-5 oz natural veg tan leather. Once designed, cut out the templates out of you favorite stiff paper. Use an awl to scratch out pattern. Cut out, Dye, Glue, Stitch, Sand, Burnish, and Paint the Edges. The rest is practice. Pattern by That's Right Leather Shop. Rite in the Rain notebooks are awesome!     facial hair on men is so disgusting.....it makes them look at least 10 years older than they are ...and it just looks so nasty and unkept....not sure why this FAD is happening.....

    Hey so the soldering iron really works well enough to spread edge paint?? I'm willing to buy if so. Those edge paint irons are really expensive so I've been looking for an alternative to them.

    Did you use water or alcohol before the dye in this video? Love the results you got - my fiebings mahogany always comes out too dark.

      I don't. I lay down neatsfoot oil first. Perhaps the dauber you use is too saturated. Try tapping it on a bit of scrap leather first. And remember to do thin layers. Finishing the leather with oils or wax will darken a tad as well.
