Cancer Loves Me

Приєднався 26 бер 2017
I'm a widowed mother of three girls fighting breast cancer. This being my third encounter with cancer in my life brings a unique view. I survived cancer as a child, watched my husband pass away from it last year and now have a current diagnosis of it.

Hugely helpful video! I just has my post cancer expanders put in.
You look great !
Any updates
You have given me inspiration. I just started following because I will be having DMX in three weeks. With expanders. I've had very large breast since high school. I petrified. And you have made me feel justified in my feelings. You are so strong having little ones. Mine are grown. I'm so nervous about this surgery but more about what I'm going to look like. I've seen some good and some not so good. I know it's been years since you posted, but I hope all is well. I'm going to try and find all of your videos to watch them all. You have really touched me. I feel like I can relate emotionally to you. God bless you sweetie!!! ❤❤
All being said. You look great. I'm have a bad day I'm having DMX with recon tissue expanders July 17. I'm so nervous. About them getting the cancer of course but cosmetics of it. You have really given me hope today!!!
Who among the ladies here stayed in the hospital with heir first surgery? I went home after my first (hours surgery) and second surgery. Is there any reason why patients have to stay overnight even if surgery went well?
Hello, I just done with my final surgery, after 3 months of waiting. I agree. Expanders, hard like a rock and does not move all. It slowed me down. But interesting how plastic surgeons go about this kind of surgery differently. With mine. The incision was made where my previous incisions are. And I understand that each patient (and their cancer ) have different cases too. Good luck to all of you🩷
Thank you❤
I am going through this now, but no radiation. My doctor told me NOT to overfill the expanders because the skin will pucker if the skin is overstretched. He also said he will not be cutting into original excision but making a new incision to reduce any chance of not healing or infection. You made me laugh because I can so relate to the hard baseballs. I call them oranges. Hard as a rock and immovable. I love not wearing a bra as I have no nibbles and they don’t move. I would love not wearing a bra after my implants. I still have 1 or 2 more fills. My assignment this week is to find pictures of breasts I like.
Thank you. Im going through the same process right now.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. I hope everything has turned out wonderful for you! I am just beginning my unilateral tissue expander fills and will follow the same surgical path as you have. I had my mastectomy 6 weeks ago. I did not need radiation or chemo. Thanks for mentioning the estrogen blocker side effects. I am menopausal, 63 and the side effects are still a big concern for all ages with these medications. My cancer reoccurrence rate is 12% & my oncologist reports taking Anastrozole will reduce it to 6%. I am on the fence with the meds due to this but obviously concerned about my unaffected breast.
There is nothing wrong being cancer free. You do not need breast. You look younger.
Hello. Some they decide not to have implants. Others. They decide to have it. Each individual will have different choices based on their needs and situation. But either no implants or with implants , you do what is best for you. And whether a patient decides to go flat or with implants, they are all beautify and very brave😊
Thank you so much for this video. It was so much relief to hear. I have those right now and yes so uncmfortable, my reconstruction is not until January. I appreciated so much knowing and hearing someone going through the same, again thank you!
Thank you. You r the first I've seen talking about this and I'm going through the same kind of thing and I want to thank you cause this hit me hard going through this. I'm excited to see more cause you r a head of me and you are preparing me more than you probably think.
❤🙏♥️
Hello. I’m in the process of everything. I’m three weeks post op double mastectomy and have expanders in. Thank you for your informational. I have the same choice when it comes to the estrogen part. I’m young as well and not menapause. Again Thank you

Thank you for sharing this video, when we go through this process we think that we are the only one feeling this weird sensation tion with the breast expanders, NY expanders are so uncomfortable I had my double mastectomy 5 weeks ago, they haven't start with the expanding, it's so uncomfortable that I can't sleep.😢😢😢
Thanks for sharing this. My wife is at the beginning of this process and I'm trying to learn all I can to support her recovery.
Thank you for sharing this, I am in the process of having this surgery too...
Insurance should pay for a tooth cap or bonding.
OMG…. For the first time since my double mastectomy I found someone I can finally relate with 😢 and my reconstruction is in 5 days. Thank you for sharing your story and experience.
Mine is 7/31 🎉, good luck to you
Did your insurance pay for second surgery?
Thank you so much. I'm facing this soon. I needed real answers.thank you
Thank you for sharing your experience. I chose delayed reconstruction and am currently in the expander filling process. This helped me understand what I'm seeing is normal!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It has truly help me in this journey I’m going through. I am due for the exchange next month. Blessings and blissful heath❤❤❤
Hello my pink sister, I know in your last video you had breast implants, did something go wrong. I have breast implants 😢 now I'm curious
Thank you luv ❤
Thank you so much for the vidio
I’m fixing to check in on this. I had one breast removed and reconstruction at the time wasn’t an option for me. It’s been 14 years since my mastectomy. I’m scared but so looking forward to it.
Me too
Shit I was going through treatment for my birthday😝
Thank you so much, I am waiting for my date for a double mastectomy and I am nervous, but grateful for you sharing your story.
I wish that I never had it done it dose not get any better. From what she describes
Thank you so much! You helped me so much! I’m doing the same with my own tissue. How many surgeries in all? Are you doing chemo? Good luck with your surgery!
I will have my double mastectomy with expanders added next week. Your video gave an idea of my long road ahead. I have implants in from my lumpectomy 5 years ago and that was painful but not as painful I know this will be. Thank you so much
Really from a lumpectomy,I had a lumpectomy and in good.
Can I ask how many cc’s you went to in the expanders?
Hello when did your surgeon place the expander, during surgery? How many times did he fill up the expanders? How many times.will.fillin the silicine
Great to see you Pink Sister! I’m 3 months post op DMX with reconstruction and am anxious to get the exchange surgery! Hugs to you!
So good to see you again! You had me worried! Can’t wait to see more videos. BLESSINGS!!!
Thank you for being this brave. It's 2022 & I just found you after 4 rounds of AC & 9 rounds of Taxol with my double mastectomy, reconstruction, & radiation approaching. It brought me to tears hearing how much you've had to battle & how much you still are battling, as well as being a mother of young girls. I'm a mother too & it's terrifying to think about what will happen to our kids if anything happens to us. I'm so sorry for your loss. You really are inspiring & beautiful.
🌞
Thank you for this info sweet girl. I’ll being doing the double mastectomy soon with expanders then implants
🙏🏻💕
I am also 37 with breast cancer and am getting a mastectomy after chemotherapy. I will than follow along with radiation. I appreciate your video as it helps me to decide if I want reconstruction surgery in the future. More than likely I will.
Had my surgery on Feb 8th I have expanders in now I still have my drains in, haven't my first injection yet..
I hope you are ok.
Hi how are you going now? I had breast cancer in 2012 only one breast removed and had expander as well Xxx
Hello Carol… how did you manage with the expanders? Really painful?
@@mhygdistribution3207 Not so bad, the 1st couple of weeks were a bit uncomfortable but after that just felt a bit tight occasionally hope this helps Xx
@@carolclarke5839 thanks 🙏 I just had the left one removed. And thinking about using my own tissue for reconstruction. That will be a long way to go but trying to stay positive. One last thing, do you feel it like normal now? No more pain? Do you feel uncomfortable sometimes? Thank you and stay blessed!
@@mhygdistribution3207 Yes It feels normal now and no more pain, I didnt want to do my own tissue reconstruction because I used to be a smoker and that would probably make me have a problem with the nerve transfer being successful , good luck and best wishes Xx
@@carolclarke5839 thank you so much. Your answer gives me hope. Have a great day!
Hi. I am interested in what the out of pocket cost for egg retrieval and any other information you have. I have invasive ductal carcinoma stage 2A which is also her one positive but Hers2 negative. I have finished chemo 9/23/2020.
