This sermon is the most powerful message I have ever heard regarding the Great Commission . If Alan or his designated staff person has time and interest in a conversation with me about how this retired pastor might be useful in FUMC, I welcome his office contacting me to set up a convenient time. I am a quadriplegic whose ability to travel far beyond the confines of Wesleyan home Where I live is limited, but my mind and heart are so committed to today’s message of discipleship that I would like to explore some modest way, I might be helpful in this mission. In “Methodistspeak”, I would like to move my local charge conference relationship to First Church order to offer whatever role I might play in disciple formation through FUMC. I listened to this sermon you spoke to the Methodist church on August 11, of this year. I lived in the state of Minnesota for all of my life. The state of Minnesota is, in area, the 12th largest state in the United States of America. Real good sermon. One question; coming from the beginning of the sermon; are you really going to be a politician? If you are, good luck to you, I hope you make it! I live in the state of Minnesota. I always live in Minnesota for all of my life. I have never been down to the state of Texas. That state I have never been in. Wild Rice: I like wild rice. Do you like wild rice? I really like wild rice! One thing about wild rice: Wild rice is not actually rice but a grain. It is called wild rice but it is actually a grain, not rice. In areas of Minnesota wild rice is grown. A person can see wild rice in sections of Minnesota. This recipe is a Minnesota recipe. This recipe was First Made in the state of Minnesota. MINNESOTA WILD RICE 1 cup wild rice (rinse very well, but do not pre-cook) 2 c water 1 cup chicken bouillon 1 large onion 8 slices bacon Celery Green pepper Mushrooms Combine the 2 cups water and one cup chicken bouillon Brown all above. In a 1 and a half quart casserole, combine all together. Bake covered for 350 degrees for 1 hour, then uncover and bake uncovered for 1/2 hour. This recipe is a Minnesota recipe. Recipe was First Made in the state of Minnesota. Minnesota Wild Rice. Have a great day.

Jerome C. W. Halverson living in the state of Minnesota. I listened to the sermon The Sneetches on UA-cam. Real excellent sermon. I figured and this is also what someone else told me, that the reason the people in the old testiment could not eat pork is that they would cook pork back then but the pork would not be well done as it is in today's time. I was told that eating pork that is not well done can get a person who eats the pork parasites. Now we have pork that is cooked well done. If you want to cook pork cook pork well done. A person that's pork underdone (not well done) that person might get parasites. That what i was told. I don't remember reading Sneetches. I may of heard the story and forgot about it. Of course, i am 61 years old, so if i read this story it has to be over 50 years ago. I remembered reading Green Eggs And Ham once, also over 50 years ago, but forgot on how the story goes until the sermon for June 16. Then i remembered more of what i forgot during the years. June 16 and June 23, both were real excellent sermons. Have a great day.

RUSSIAN MEATBALLS 1 and a half pounds ground beef 1 cup cracker crumbs 1 egg 1/4 cup tomato juice 1 teaspoon minced onion 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 3 teaspoons flour 3 teaspoons butter 2 cups canned tomatoes Paprika 1 cup sour cream Combine ground beef, cracker crumbs, egg, tomato juice, minced onion, salt and pepper. Shape in walnut size balls. Roll in flour, brown in butter. Add tomatoes. Simmer 30 minutes. Sprinkle with paprika. Gently add sour cream. Simmer additional 15 minutes. Should serve 6 servings.
