When you use the front of the house output of the WAZA TAE you have the option in the WAZA TAE app in your computer to manage the effects, even turning all those off before it hits your external recording interface. If you send the signal from WAZA TAE to a real speaker and record with real mic, then all the effects in the signal chain get recorded. I hope that answers your question, otherwise just let me know. Hi Rogerbone2371! Good question! In the back of the Engl Fireball 25 there is a noise gate knob , so I have it set at 11 o'clock. If you are using the same amp you could try adjusting that first. Then, in the loop section of the amp I have the JHS Little Black Amp Box attenuator. With both of those adjustments you should get a clean signal with heavy distortion. If you have a different amp which does not have a noise gate knob, you can get an inexpensive noise gate pedal. There are several options at different budgets. There are also plenty in the used market. The JHS pedal is relatively inexpensive, but I would start with the noise gate pedal first. I hope that helped, and keep rocking!
