What I was or am more in love with is the gaming community's tolerance to mediocre titles has greatly reduced in 2024. Games like Concord, Star Wars Outlaws, Avatar, XDefiant, Kill the Justice League and more were such terrible games and I'm glad the community showed no love to those garbage titles specially coming from industry heavy hitters. So glad those games just died or didn't get enough revenue. That feels good in my bones knowing that gamers won't stand for crap games like those anymore. I hope 2025 comes out with better gaming content.

Its so weird to me because they shutting down in NEXT SUMMER and they closed the register... why? why can't new people try the game if they made and released a whole new season which is a big season... its just sad I played a lot and I think I will try the new maps and guns but this is straight up bullshit and the best thing is they closing XDefiant but they pushing Skull n bones which was a very big failure. The game wasn't seeing increase in players before it died, there isn't any proof or evidence of that, especially if your source is Nytefall, this man was putting #savexdefiant posts 2-3 months after the game came out and Xdefiant is dying literally less than 2 weeks of Xdefiant being dead. There was no proof as to the game thriving (even when asked) but multiple evidence the game was dying. Every major Xdefiant UA-camr + fans are taking Nytefall's word like it's the word of God without fact checking anything just because people are grieving. I don't need source if they wish to remain anonymous but what i do need is actual data to refute otherwise. It's hard to take Nytefall's word seriously when he keeps flip flopping between dying and not dying this often and whenever he pleases. Please do not be this gullible. While i agree that game was more than 5000 players at least across all platforms which shouldn't be too hard for a new IP, I disagree that they were bringing any new players or had the player numbers to compete against R6S let alone have paying consumers. From my time being with Xdefiant this is what I've come to realize, at least in the CoD gaming community people were/ are so fucking starved, to the point that something as mediocre as Xdefiant felt like gold to some. This is my outside perspective from a player that doesn't dabble in CoD-like shooters. I hope you're doing well and happy holidays. It's hard to hear you grief. Not gonna lie, if I can still buy stuff I'm going to to try and incentivize them to keep the game lol. I don't know about player counts, but for about a month before shut down I was seeing a ton of new accounts in the 20's, and I mean a lot.

Sorry for the extra comments. I made it to the end. I've been consuming every bit of XD content I can. I've been finding channels I never heard of and leaving Likes and comments in all of them.im guessing UBISOFT is gonna block me on X soon. Every X message I leave is at Ubisoft, XD and mark Rubin. I'm making all the noise I possibly can. If EVERYONE blows up X with messages they'll eventually hear us. Obviously I'm not leaving nasty messages. I make sure tosay good things about the devs and mark. I feel extra bad for them. They were doing an amazing job and we're fired for it.

No hate here. This was instantly my all-time fav game. I quit CoD when this launched and have never gone back. I've spent the last week and a half on X and posting in every XD vid I can find. I only ever missed a couple day and ill still be here til its funeral. I signed the petition instantly and been pushing it everywhere. CoD people dont get how important this game was for them. XD made Activision nervous as hell...which was a huge plus for them...but they didn't get it. Ill keep blowing up X posting at Ubis9ft, XD and mark Rubin. This is the first game in my life (I'm 46) that I became emotionally attached too.

I signed and donated after seeing Nytefall's video. I too loved this game and hope somehow that 10 cent buys out incompitent Ubisoft and lets Mark pick this back up. Or hope Mark creates or goes to another studio. When I found out XDefiant was going down it completely ruined my day.

Sorry but this game was meant to fail. Im not a call of duty fan but when i played xdefiant i already knew it was going to fail. No scorestreaks and it lacks a lot. It had potential though but they didn't even bother of upgrading the game. Please don't blame the fan base of call of duty. Its not their fault. It just happens cause of the lack of the game.

I feel like people have double standards and hypocritical about criticizing xdefiant but won’t criticize the exact same things in COD cause they’re protected in their scripted rigged EOMM matchmaking and skill based damage. At least Xdefiant was organic it wasn’t a great game but I loved how it was organic and it definitely deserved better. Sad to see it die it’s just a reflection of the world nowadays as a whole.🙁

not sure how its the cod communities fault here. if anything its ubisofts for not supporting it and the fact it didnt fix the bad hit detection that plagued the game. also someone who hates modern cod i gave XD a chance but once again they add the obnoxious jump spam just like cod and i left. getting too old dealing with that dumb nonsense

Hey man, just watched your video. I hope you're doing well and finding ways to cope with your loss. I'm in no means a cod player, having played the last game in 2012 as a kid which i think was BO2. I have since played tac and movement shooters (at high elos) usually with my mates. We also dont have any opinions on sbmm or tbh dont care about it. We learnt about it only this year. We've played Xdefiant for nearly 30 hours in over 2 seasons. That being said, I'm gonna be as unbiased. While the game was fun it had some major issues that it needed to address. Hit reg and performance was a major issue. The game had little incentive to play for long. Call me spoiled but THE FINALS had skins for weapons that you'd grind in 3 hours for free that was being sold in BP or grinding major hours in XDefiant. My biggest gripe was that the game very average, like 5/10 at best. When we played, it felt like a hero shooters version of a game that was played more than a decade ago. Felt no different to BO2. And this also extends to BO6 regardless of Omni movement. Which sucks both these claim the most revolutionizing gameplay in their trailers and is the least to innovate. So maybe with you, I agree that major companies have gone greedy and blind. That's why i recommend THE FINALS, a f2p fps game made by an indie studio called Embark. They're super passionate and consumer friendly. And we'd love to have a passionate gamer join us too. I'm down to show you the ropes too. I hope you a great day and good luck.

I don't understand how people like you defend this game? I was also there on day one. I dealt with all the bs that came with it. And other than the gun play it has NOTHING. The practice room has been in development since launch. The characters are some of the worse I've ever seen. Ubisoft owns so many company's and they picked the worst ones haha. The camos are ahh, there is NO camo grind none. The only thing to do is get these 4. And you will only use 1. I like to work for things, I like to earn camos along the way, red tiger etc, this game didn't even have that. I've sat here for the whole who video and you legit didn't say anything to counter or argue except its your fault, your fault for liking quality. Your fault for expecting more from these companies. I'm sad that this game is shutting down, cuz people like you need a place as far away from the rest of the world. I'll keep spending those 70 bucks if I feel the game is worth it. The game was good, but the devs didn't do enough, if this game was so good then why are they shutting down? They could save it at any moment they just chose not too lol. Better pass, better camos better operators that's it. I'll play it rn.
