How-To | Common Plumbing Problems With Your Toilet And How To Fix Them
Thank you for this educational video and the the visual demonstration. Seeing a side view of the toilet really helps! :)
Thanks. My problem was a big 💩 was in those curvy pupes. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to achieve with the plunger but i got it to pass through.
Good video. I’d like to suggest something simple for clearer audio. Have you ever noticed how much different a job site sounds after insulation is thrown in? It really does a great job at absorbing echos. So good in fact that rockwool is commonly used to acoustically treat music studios. I think there would be a noticeable difference with just a little bit of insulation. People sometimes make their own acoustic panels by making a simple wood frame for the rockwool and stapling some breathable fabric over it to contain to rockwool. Doesn’t have to be pretty but my what a difference. Cheers!
Justice for the toilet who got split in half so this selfish man can make this video
Excellent video just hard to hear you!
Good info. I didn't know all of that xnd I'm s handyman. I had a couple customers who's toilets flooded their house. I'm trying to fund out what causes toilets to run none stop and flood the house. When it should just empty the water out the tank and be done
Great item! Would highly recommend!
Wonderful
The guy is very well spoken, but it’s so off setting to see someone squatting next to a toilet touching every part of it for 7 minutes.
Who’s on the toilet
I'm not saying sh
It's a toilet. Not a water closet. Maybe it was 100 years ago.....
Your analogy to the human body is completely off base. The human circulatory system is a closed loop (not a drainage system), is pump (not gravity) driven, and blood vessels are elastic to accommodate for pressure changes from the heart pumping. Breathing does not "vent" in any way similar to how a plumbing vent works.
4 Toilets sharing the main frame air ventilation pipe, like to tie in to that roof top pipe to creat more ventilation. Best way to do this?
Difficult to hear properly. Echo and speaking with poor diction!, trailing off at the end. Almost inaudible!
I have 3 vent pipes on my roof yet my kitchen sink and washing machine drain have issues, how can I trace which vent is the one with with issue?
Hi Jason, I'm the owner of a Toilet review website, I also provide fix-it info too, want to know if I can pay you to make a few featured videos for my site? Thanks!
Plumbers or medical gas tech.
Your microphone is like my toilet at the moment--clogged up!!!
Use me as a "I just dropped a massive shit and need emergency assistance" button
Thank you. You just sold the mystery of the gurgling noise and the sewer smell in my second floor bathroom.
Not paper towel or toys but my own sh*t keep cloging the damn toilet...
Thanks for the info tif people treated our toilets like their own i would probably be out of a job so keep flushing
Every toilet clog or toilet not flushing i go with auger get every time unless it’s bottled and stuff then we need to pull the toilet
Im a union plumber at a casino people forget everything they learned at home and housekeeping flush bars of soap
Watching this cuz my turd is too damn big !
Excellent product!
Very informative, thank you!
Thank you.
Can you properly hear what he is saying? Not me. Sound quality is 'plugged'. Should have worn a clip on mike 😮
Why didn’t u run 1 1/2’ for vent? / branch vent?

Who else watchin this cause their toilet is clogged lol
Nah, it's just quality entertainment.
Nah im going for dinner so I watch this with a projector

This is the president of my local. Reading from a que card. 🤦🏻♂️
Too bad this guy isnt the actual instructor for the apprentices of his local union. Ask me how I know. They have terrible instructors at local 55. The whole apprenticeship is basically now a online college class. The apprentices really learn in the field if they are lucky enough.
That's why every building should have a curb trap, then you don't have to vent every fixture. In my city, you can run a branch drain 12 foot off of the main house sewer without venting the branch drain, 8ft off of the main for water closets, but of course the main needs to be vented full size. We do very little reducing the pipe size for vent lines, if the drain line is 3 inch then the vent runs the full size thru the roof or into a vent header .
A house trap? No thank you
@@zachcoleman6285 yeah it’s not for everyone and a big problem occurs if they shift or break because then everything that goes down the drain that’s a solid can potentially get hung up in that trap causing the whole house to back up. But I still rather have the extra protection from sewer gases and rodents then just the fixture trap , and I know rodents can get right through most of the traps but that even makes me want the curb trap more for that extra protection. The other downside of a curb trap is the fresh air inlet , with a little bit of know how if you wanted to really get even with someone who’s done something to you then drop a metal car antenna to the length from the the invert of the trap to about a inch below the water line , and just wait and see how the plumbing bills quickly start coming into your trouble making neighbors house or some person who was driving drunk and clipped someone’s kid but was never arrested. It’s very hard to see down the fresh inlet with the most powerful flashlight out there , if it’s a sunny day then you can use a mirror but it’s still almost impossible to see even with a camera. If the plumber knows what he’s doing and has experienced a situation like this the first thing they will do is use a wet vacuum and remove the water from the trap then you got a better chance but still hard to see, most of the time I and some of the other plumbers I have worked with over the years only discovered the car antenna after digging 8 foot down in a tiny hole , and after removing the fresh air inlet pipe and the trap seal then they see the little piece of metal that’s cost the homeowner 1000,s in drain cleaning, the new curbtrap and fresh air inlet since it’s already dug up . It’s mean and wrong but super effective but with all of these ring doorbell’s that have cameras plus a lot of cars have cameras now that start videoing when you get close to its sensors like the Tesla you will get caught unless you get lucky but it’s still being down because I just pulled one out of this guys curb trap and when I saw him after getting the antenna out the first thing I asked him was who did you piss off , he wanted to know how I knew he was beefing with the old homeowner who left a bunch of silverware behind that was someone’s grandmothers wedding gift and they wanted it back but my customers wife already attempted to sell it and was getting a lot of money for this huge collection of antique silverware so the war has begun .
3:01 dont tell me what to do
Hard to hear.
Thank you very much for this very interesting and informative video, this is much appreciated by the people. I am partially deaf but have no problems with the sound. It is appreciated that you took the time to help the people understand what may be causing the blockage and indeed, how to deal with it.
Explain bidet
Bidet
i know how its clogged man.
I can’t take a proper &$&& with out clogging it everytime
right
Isnt that turn on the pipe connected upside down
It goes in the direction of the flow. In this case the sewer gases are the flow.

That blood pressure metaphor was garbage.
My apartment living room smells like stinky cheese/poop and we can't find the cause. Could it be related to plumbing?
I had that problem, the toilet was vented....but only into the attic. So the smell went there occasionally, and we could smell it in the house. I connected the vent to go out the roof, and it was fixed. Not sure on your apartment situation, but hopefully you get it fixed.
@@dazzlingdaveyoyo what was the smell like?
@@LaserrSharp it was basically sewer gas. It was a lot worse in the attic! The guy who did the remodel never connected the vent to the roof pipe. It was all there, just not connected properly. Once I connected it, smell went away!
