    Good video. I’d like to suggest something simple for clearer audio. Have you ever noticed how much different a job site sounds after insulation is thrown in? It really does a great job at absorbing echos. So good in fact that rockwool is commonly used to acoustically treat music studios. I think there would be a noticeable difference with just a little bit of insulation. People sometimes make their own acoustic panels by making a simple wood frame for the rockwool and stapling some breathable fabric over it to contain to rockwool. Doesn’t have to be pretty but my what a difference. Cheers!

    Your analogy to the human body is completely off base. The human circulatory system is a closed loop (not a drainage system), is pump (not gravity) driven, and blood vessels are elastic to accommodate for pressure changes from the heart pumping. Breathing does not "vent" in any way similar to how a plumbing vent works.

    4 Toilets sharing the main frame air ventilation pipe, like to tie in to that roof top pipe to creat more ventilation. Best way to do this?

    That's why every building should have a curb trap, then you don't have to vent every fixture. In my city, you can run a branch drain 12 foot off of the main house sewer without venting the branch drain, 8ft off of the main for water closets, but of course the main needs to be vented full size. We do very little reducing the pipe size for vent lines, if the drain line is 3 inch then the vent runs the full size thru the roof or into a vent header .

      A house trap? No thank you

    • @mrbig4532
      @mrbig4532 2 роки тому

      @@zachcoleman6285 yeah it’s not for everyone and a big problem occurs if they shift or break because then everything that goes down the drain that’s a solid can potentially get hung up in that trap causing the whole house to back up. But I still rather have the extra protection from sewer gases and rodents then just the fixture trap , and I know rodents can get right through most of the traps but that even makes me want the curb trap more for that extra protection. The other downside of a curb trap is the fresh air inlet , with a little bit of know how if you wanted to really get even with someone who’s done something to you then drop a metal car antenna to the length from the the invert of the trap to about a inch below the water line , and just wait and see how the plumbing bills quickly start coming into your trouble making neighbors house or some person who was driving drunk and clipped someone’s kid but was never arrested. It’s very hard to see down the fresh inlet with the most powerful flashlight out there , if it’s a sunny day then you can use a mirror but it’s still almost impossible to see even with a camera. If the plumber knows what he’s doing and has experienced a situation like this the first thing they will do is use a wet vacuum and remove the water from the trap then you got a better chance but still hard to see, most of the time I and some of the other plumbers I have worked with over the years only discovered the car antenna after digging 8 foot down in a tiny hole , and after removing the fresh air inlet pipe and the trap seal then they see the little piece of metal that’s cost the homeowner 1000,s in drain cleaning, the new curbtrap and fresh air inlet since it’s already dug up . It’s mean and wrong but super effective but with all of these ring doorbell’s that have cameras plus a lot of cars have cameras now that start videoing when you get close to its sensors like the Tesla you will get caught unless you get lucky but it’s still being down because I just pulled one out of this guys curb trap and when I saw him after getting the antenna out the first thing I asked him was who did you piss off , he wanted to know how I knew he was beefing with the old homeowner who left a bunch of silverware behind that was someone’s grandmothers wedding gift and they wanted it back but my customers wife already attempted to sell it and was getting a lot of money for this huge collection of antique silverware so the war has begun .

    My apartment living room smells like stinky cheese/poop and we can't find the cause. Could it be related to plumbing?

    • @dazzlingdaveyoyo
      @dazzlingdaveyoyo 3 роки тому

      I had that problem, the toilet was vented....but only into the attic. So the smell went there occasionally, and we could smell it in the house. I connected the vent to go out the roof, and it was fixed. Not sure on your apartment situation, but hopefully you get it fixed.

      @dazzlingdaveyoyo 3 роки тому

      @@LaserrSharp it was basically sewer gas. It was a lot worse in the attic! The guy who did the remodel never connected the vent to the roof pipe. It was all there, just not connected properly. Once I connected it, smell went away!
