The song slipped into obscurity and the beautiful Sade brought it back with her magnificent interpretation . Timmy's version is a real period peace.

When I learned this back in the day...the chorus (~1:30 in), especially, reminded me of some EW&F tunes that I had learned earlier. It's the chromatic approach from above & below. The EW&F tunes I'm talking about are "Can't Hide Love", "That's The Way Of The World", & "Saturday Nite". Bobby Caldwell's "What You Won't Do For Love" is another.

I'd say this is probably my favorite cover. You don't over due the ad libbing and you get the slappy part perfect. It's like change the riffs but get the slappy part great and some covers follow the original very good, but the slappy parts aren't as punchy. And some covers are perfect, but too short. This was great!
