I did a lot of sewing in gold metallic thread that doesn't show up on camera - but I've never used metallic thread before and I love the little hint of sparkle it brings. You are right - heavy things are most times more expensive at the bins that at the regular goodwill store. They charge by the pound over here too - but only $1.59 so most of the time if you find something, it's a good deal. Thanks for checking out the faux cake video too!
