Zeolites absorb lots of water, have a reasonable cation exchange capacity (although pumice is the more important ingredient in that respect), but primarily Zeolites are there to buffer the PH of your nutrient solution to keep it in a healthy slightly acidic/neutral range that plants absorb nutrients best at. That being said, aquarium zeolites are probably not appropriate for PON mixture, I am not sure why they have these properties, but they do not seem to buffer the nutrient solution correctly (creating a PH far too high for plants) and they tend to produce mediocre results for me. I've switched to using the 'ecotraction pro' brand Ice gripper products (you want the pro version as it's a coarser particle size). It's much cheaper, less than half the price of the cheapest aquarium zeolites I could find, and it seems to keep my nutrient solution parameters where they should be.

Greetings from Sri Lanka!! I just watched all your videos and I like that you keep things short and sweet. About the elliptica, don’t worry. It’s easy to propagate. Now you have 3 leafs. An old yellowing leaf of a rooting cutting can also mean its pulling energy to the roots. But try to give it more light and good airflow. Hoyas will first establish a good root system and then shoot out new growth. You will fall in love with them!! 🪴🪴
