Why the name change

So many fond memories! Some people don't remember this, but the Italian festival DID actually used to be in THIS park! Probably 1983 thru 1986, I'm thinking. The "beach" is my most memorable, with that "abandoned"(?) food stand and restrooms. The parking lot leading to the park is also memorable with the stairs and walls, etc. I think I went to a party here around 2005 or 2006, but my fondest memories are from the 80s. I even remember when they had lifeguards! Not sure if they still do.
