great, I'm glad you wrote. Salutare means the same thing. salutare is used more between friends, not between people who don't know each other and especially in the Timisoara area. We also have in Transylvania, the word servus, which means hi/hello, but used only by that area and also used among people who know each other very well.

i thought servus means bye in transylvania or you can use ciao!@@LearnRomanianfromaRomanian

@ItsMikeLearns true, but also means hi/hello, goodbye etc. Ceau is the correct form. Ciao is in Italia.

They replace/refer to an object/objects mentioned in the previous sentence. When the object and the subject are given in the same sentence are no longer used.
