This summer I had the opportunity to do some drone flights in 7 different locations of the Bosque along the Rio Grande, NM. Lovely video my friend! Trail looks so inviting!
Thanks! It’s a very relaxing trail 👍
Awesome vid!
Thank you!
Thanks for the review! I was thinking about buying this shoe and in my native language (I'm Brazilian) there are no reviews of this shoe, I liked the points you highlighted. I don't go hiking but I would like a super comfortable shoe for daily use. Thanks
Wow, Brazilian super cool! Definitely... thanks for tuning in and I am glad that it was helpful. You won't be disappointed; they're very comfortable. My new favorite shoe, for sure
Absolutely gorgeous work man! Area looks and feels fantastic!
Thank you so much! Yeah, great views from that side of the mountain
Are they water resistant? Like for walk under the rain or snow, thanks.
They would be fine with a light drizzle but probably not for a down-pour. I haven't experienced a serious rainfall with them yet. Light snow would be OK... heavy snow not so much
I have three pairs, black for work, black white for casual and yellow for the outdoors.
Haha, nice! Those are great choices as well
I love them . Just ordered vía Vans app. Now they are 40% off from 140€ to 84€, plus a Vans Family card of 25€ got with my points, i finally got them for 59€ Not bad.😎
Great video 😊
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Oasis in the sky
Definitely 😁
Wow. Fascinating look, bro
Thanks dude!
I love making that little hike and climbing the spiral stairs, but I'll never go in the cave if other people are there (especially kids) because of all the dust that gets kicked up. It can get so bad that you can't see anything but dust particles in your light beam.
I could understand that. I noticed the fine dust when the people ahead of us were coming back out from the deeper section of the cave. They should have a sign out there warning people of needing a dust mask if they traverse deeper. Thanks for watching!
How interesting, looks like Vans is not only catering to Skaters but also Hikers now too. I wonder how in the future Vans Hiking shoes will be like in the future.
Totally. It's cool that they're branching out into other interests. Thanks for tuning in!
December 18, 2024, ascended with a pal, activated the peak for Summits On The Air, second time to do so. The local rancher who has the grazing allotment said that sometimes bighorn will be on this peak, but we did not see them. - KT5X
Wow, that's awesome! Very cool; it would've been great to see them out there. I love exploring out there. Cerro de Guadalupe, right next door, was a lot of fun as well
Baltoro is great for thick beefier people. Your frame and size the Osprey ag 65 would suit you best. They are both great back packs
Nice! I appreciate the recommendation, I will need to look into that, thanks!
See any squirrels or quail up there? Planning to hunt the trail
Nah, didn't see any squirrels. I didn't see a whole lot of animals out there, honestly
Great review!
Thanks for watching!
@ it compelled me to pull the trigger and buy a pair! Same color! They’re fantastic. Heads and shoulders above the standard MTE
@@CheddarTeddy haha, that's great man! These are my first pair of MTE's. I've used the Old Skools in the past, but the Crosspaths are on another level
Great review, I am debating buying this for my 2025 pct hike or taking the Mini3 pro that I already own. Albq. native. liked and subscribed
Wow, the PCT! That should be an amazing adventure. Hard choice between the two as each has their own advantages. Thanks for the sub! Good luck on the PCT 🤙
Fantastic review man, looks and sounds so professional and actually helpful!
Thanks a bunch! I appreciate the feedback 🤙
Placed my order last night. I've never owned a pair of Vans, usually associated it with skaters, so not really look that I could relate to. But the MTE model seems to be a different animal to the usual lineup. I needed a pair of comfy waterproof sneakers that I could wear casual on a daily basis. A versatile all-purpose shoe.
That's awesome, hope you like them! Yeah, these shoes are very different than the traditional "skater" shoe that Vans is known for. They remind me of old Nike Air running shoes that I used to have & loved. The Crosspaths are filling in that role just nicely
@@EpicModeEngaged Can you tell me if these Crosspath MTE sneakers are resistant and durable? Can the sneakers really handle light trail use? I bought a pair of these sneakers and I'm waiting for them to arrive
@@romuloluizoliveiradasilva1532 Great questions! I've had them for a month now and so far, so good. It looks like they'll be durable in the long-run. They can definitely handle light-trail activities. I believe you'll be surprised by how much they can handle trail-wise!
way better review than the 6 likes indicated. have a like and comment!
haha, thanks man! I appreciate that, thanks for tuning in
Just ordered these on the Vans App. Paid $79 30% off Vans family + $20 off promo points Very excited to get these this week. Awesome video thanks!
Wow, you got some fantastic discounts on those! Very cool. Enjoy them, they're great shoes
Great video man.
Glad you liked it! Much appreciated
Hello. What month was this video shot? were going in November 26-30
Great question! I believe it was Feb- March 2024. Have fun out there, it's a great resort!
I really! really enjoy watching your videos brother! 😊👍
Thanks bro! Glad you tuned in, I appreciate it
Beautiful Beautiful, and to know we are made of the same Molecules, Atoms, etc, etc 🙌✨️
Right?! The area is just stunning out there. Thanks for watching!
Such a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere my friend! Area looks amazing! Absolutely amazing!
Haha, truly! I easily could've stayed out there for a whole week... so much to see and explore. Thanks for tuning in!
What an awesome hike and stunning views, thanks for sharing. Can't wait to explore more of the San Juan's next summer!
Totally! The San Juan Wilderness is a majestic gem. I love it 👍
Absolutely beautiful, you have a talent for cinematography and video editing. Love the videos.
Wow, thank you, Michael! Great comment. I try to improve with every vid I do. Thanks for watching!
Absolutely Stunning! Loved the fly-over and fly-through sequences.
Thanks bro! It was such an amazing area to explore
Congratulations to the both of you! What a gorgeous place to spend your honeymoon! I always look forward to your episodes. Thank you for sharing with us:)
Thank you so much! Yes, it was an amazing place to explore. Thanks for tuning in!
Back and 1973 and 1974 I was part of the archaeological team that worked that site. What was amazing about it was the number of kivas on top of that mesa. The site was occupied twice. First by the original Chacoan builders and then by a secondary group who often excavated the floors instead of building up the walls. That large round kiva you were sitting in had burials all across the floor. We were down to the last few days of the last season and needed to trench below the floor, but every place we dug was another burial. The principle archaeologist on the site was Lonnie Pippen and he has published the results of the excavation. I believe the book is available through The Desert Research Institute in Reno, Nevada.
Wow, amazing! So cool that you were a part of that team. Very fascinating information; I might have to hunt for that book. Thanks for the recommendation!
I enjoy such walks through nature’s trails. Great way to start the day by watching your video. Thanks for sharing. Healthy and success always my friend!
Absolutely! It's great to share these experiences with everyone. Thanks for watching!
Now that's the right waterfall. I just watched another video of a guy who didn't even go all the way up to the waterfall. He just went to a short little one and said he was at the waterfall. I've been up there many times. Its quite a bushwack for such a short hike. Thanks.👍
Wow, really? Haha, that’s too bad about his video. Yeah, you’re right about the bushwhacking part. Thanks for watching!
very cool
Thank you!
That was such a mesmerizing and peace filled journey through those beautiful trees with the blue sky backdrop. Thank you for sharing :)
No prob, thanks for watching!
Stick yo tye left side going up. There is a series of airy 3rd/4th ledges to summit
Awesome, thanks for the tip!
I know this video is about a year old, my gf and I are looking to do this but we’re driving in from CO so we’ll have a late start. Were there campsites along the trail that could be used if we can’t make it to the lake when we get there?
Great question, dude! Your best bet would be camping close to the parking lot area (as you saw in the beginning of the video). There weren't a whole lot of spots along the way. Another would be the Cowles Camp area on the same road. This is also close to the parking area. Hope that helps
I may be moving to NM next year for a great job opportunity and am always blown away by both the beauty and variety of the geography and how uncrowded everything seems. Love the content dude!
New Mexico is the most under-rated state in the union. Been here for 3 years now.....the under-crowdedness cannot be overstated.
Thanks man! Right on that's cool. The terrain out here is very diverse. Mountains, forests, deserts, lakes... it's all here 🤙
Blazing beauty.
Agreed!
Absolutely beautiful area. ❤
It's amazing out there! That mountain range is a gem
Great video as always, hope you are feeling 100% soon. Have a blessed day.
Thank you sir! I am feeling much better now. Thanks for tuning in 👍
I’m pretty familiar with that whole area. I go down there often to explore. How did you get to the trailhead? I tried accessing the north side of Baldly through Mills Canyon Road, but ran into private property.
Great question! I took Highway 60 to Hop Canyon Rd to the trailhead. Pretty simple, and no issues
You can go through the gates on Mills Canyon Rd, just stay on the road, and be sure to close them behind you.
BTW, I've driven to the cabin at the end of Mills Cyn Rd. and cut firewood up there in the NF, past the private property.
@@jonathonmcmillan9410 Thank you for the information! I got to gate#3 and stopped because of the private property sign.
@@Brian.A.Simmons landowners aren't supposed to prevent you from access to public right-of-way, but they often try to make you think they have that right. The worst is when they put locks on the gates. In that case, I'd report them to the Magdalena District office of the Cibola NF.
Great work man, so far views are just amazing! Such a enjoyable episode 🥾🥾
Thanks dude! The views are stunning out there
My preferred way up Sheepshead is hiking up to the ridge through the forest northwest of Trampas Lakes. It's a bit easier, less rocks, and the view on the ridge to the north of Sheepshead is amazing. Great views of Hidden Lake and San Leonardo Lake from up there, too.
Awesome! Good to hear about other trails in the area that lead to the same location. I love it out there... Looking forward to discovering more trails in the area. Thanks for the tip!
I love this! So amazing
Thank you so much! 🤙
Fantastic looking area man, this looks really nice!
It's a pretty cool area. Great trails out there!
Love the Sandias.....thanks for the ride.
For sure! Thanks for tuning in
We just got back from doing the hike…fortunately for us it was 70 rising to 81 degrees. Stunning hike and can’t wait to go back for a climbing weekend…the drive in was a bit rough, but well worth it.
That's awesome, dude. Very cool area. Yeah, we actually saw some rock climbers on our way back; they were laughing away, having a great time
Super!
Thanks, man!
