how well does it work?

I'm from southern Ontario in Canada and we've had milk in bags for over 50 years. You can also buy it in jugs and cartons. Less waste with bags and easier to pour than jugs.

As far as I can find, the Micra and the Mini have the same 110V, 1600 watts power. Where did you find information saying otherwise?

The 5 minutes warm up time is for me the biggest plus of the Micra. Espresso is supposed to be a quick drink, but I need to wait well over 20 minutes before I can pull one on my current e61 machine.

the smartphone application seems to be criticized, do you share this criticism?

Thank you for your insights and thoughts. I have a white Micra on order and the draw for me is its simplicity. I'm anxious to see how small the Micra actually is. The dimensions makes think it's going to be toy-like, but I know it's a powerful machine.

Xbloom for me is busy mornings not being able to make an espresso or pour over till mid day most times so will put this in my room to knock out a pour over. also great for others in the house that aren't as coffee obsessed Def Pour steady at home was my reason I really wanted it. Also tried it (onyx) at an event and it was great Brian Quan was there.

Just bought the Micra. Glad you brought up the potential power issue I am a bit nervous on my 20 amp breaker.

I wanted to say that I also have the Lotus Water and I agree with Alex that the Lotus Water hasn't yet produced a cup of coffee that has blown me away. It has been nice, but that's kind of as far as it goes for the time being. I'm not going to comment anymore about it as I have only used it a handful of times, but I am going to experiment with different recipes, coffees and grind sizes. Here in Christchurch, New Zealand we are blessed with relatively clean water so maybe that has a part to play. But watch this space. Cheers guys. Sean

Just found the channel (thanks discord!) I drilled out my K155 and use 102 trap filters in it/ negotiated. Low bypass, tasty, small brews. I’m down with smaller brews more frequently than fewer large brews.

Iced coffee is never okay! 😂 It's just oxidised coffee that has a one dimensional flavour once cooled down. But if it makes you happy... This is all that really matters right 😊👍.
