This movie relates well with my tribe. We are from Nagaland and our ancestors used to head hunt and also fought the British colonisers. Lucky for our ancestors that the Britishers treated us better. We believe that the soul of a person is trapped behind the neck. So our ancestors beleived that cutting off the head of our opponent would bring us good fortune through the soul of our opponent. Skull trophies also defined manhood as it brought honor to him, his family and his village.
A movie with this caliber deserved an international audience. In today's society, the majority rules ... capitalism rules. The world has forgotten the plight of the cultural minorities who suffered at the hands of colonialism, and still being exploited in today's capitalism. We say we are modernized, but I say our brains are always ancient.
