These 2 of the 1 single car class 153s are 153379 and 153384 were previously allocated to EMR - East Midlands Railway 🚃 until around perhaps 🤔 the year 2021 however it’s all in the blur 😶‍🌫️. All class 153 trains 🚆 🚊 🚂 were originally had been the 2 car class 155 sets. Class 153s have open windows 🪟 , automatic operating doors 🚪, no smoking 🚭 accommodation is because it’s prohibited 🚫 on all trains 🚂 🚊 🚆 , railway 🚃 stations 🚉, enclosed public places and inside the buildings around the world 🗺️ 🌏 🌍 🌎 , luggage 🧳 rack , a toilet 🚽 🚻 🚾 in the DMSL - Driving Motor Standard Lavatory 🚻 🚾 🚽 , comfortable seats 💺 and have previously been used in east Anglia, plenty parts in the north, southwest, East Midlands and West Midlands in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. Class 153 trains 🚆 🚊 🚂 are currently used for SR - ScotRail and TFW - Transport For Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. Saw it leaving Gt Yarmouth this morning, was a nice surprise , had just brought a load from the Highlands to the docks there.

That old signal box takes me back, the guys used to shout a hello when we took our horses across the tracks to our field, we were dismayed when "progress" made it a semi automated single controller sweat box, then eventually fully automated & unmanned, a real piece of history there that needs a preservation order on it imho.

I have followed this loco since 1994, mainly filming it on the Settle and Carlisle Railway. Also, going on many steam specials. It is great to see it back in service and a credit to all the fund raisers, volunteers and team who have made this happen. Thank you for sharing.
