Getting ready to tear one down I have my bearing and synchro kit. This was a great video to see what Im in for thankyou for the help and taking the time to make this very helpful.

OMG Thank you so much! It's coming time for me to rebuild my 97 metro manual trans. Its sounds like the output shaft bearings are getting louder and louder after 332K miles. I shall be using your video as a study guide. And only 12 min's, WHEW. Thanks!

Where do you recommend getting new synchro and gears if needed?

Gee Thanks. I'll install a new clutch set soon, though I won't need to take mine apart as much as you did. Wow! Hope you got it together okay and all the gears shift nice!

I really appreciate your video, my son and I just completed his 1996 Metro transmission and I found your video to be awesome reference! I had some difficulty with a couple of the shift linkage parts but your video was very thorough and showed exactly what I needed to see. We completed his transmission and it works flawlessly.. Did you make a video of putting it back together after you pressed the gears synchros and bearings back on? I would attempt my rebuild with good enough instructions on putting it back together. Great video! Thank you

I have a rebuilt manual that was installed without gear oil, thanks for this video, hope to take this tranny apart and see which bearing locked it up.

What is the ring on the drive gear that you are hammering at 1:54 before breaking the nut loose? Is it spring steel that can be reinstalled or do you have to replace this?

I'm thinking about rebuilding mine, but I think this transmission has too many parts. Need to make a video of each part taken out & put them in separate numbered zip lock bags for reassembly.

The bolt removed at 1,28 . Seems to be missing on my car. Looks like it disappeared recently. Would it just fall out or was it helped. What is it not doing in its absence.
