Nicely done, Jeff. Very appropriate for the times...
Thanks Robert!
Thank you so much for that snippet of Christmas time when I was a twen. Warm feelings arise when I hear Greg's anthem … 🙏 🙏 🙏
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Greg Lake was a talented guy
thanks for this, lots learned from this :) I rather build a quality stool myself than spend 200-800 per stool (800 ones are a joke - 2x2 s with leather strapping holding a cushion). I was curious though, after doing it like this did you think of any other way that could do it faster then use the sanding disc at the end? depth holes are a great idea, i thought you would continue with the router until it got close to the depth vs using a shaping disc the entire time.
A CNC router would be awesome! I've seen people use a router with a pattern, but with a simpler seat profile that would be difficult with this more 3D profile I think. I can't think of anything easier myself. Glad it was helpful
Thank you for so generously - and thoroughly - sharing your knowledge and experience. You have saved me from hours of disappointment from the many mistakes I would have made without your guidance!! I admire that little tissue box you have made (Inlay into solid wood video) - I would love to see a video of that build if you ever make one.🍸🍸Cheers
Thanks for your comment. I'm glad it was helpful!
Such a great vid. Loved learning about the Venturi option. Thx!
I watched all the build videos for the chair. Impressive work, beautiful chairs.
Thank you!
Beautiful!!!!
THANK YOU- Cain't wait to do this with a project in mind- a serving tray for a friend. So many GREAT tips. What seems simple has so many opportunities to mess up.
Thanks Jeff for showing and talking this through. I will be referring g back to this for a project in the near future. Just starting g marquetry last year and will do some inlay.
Is it tuned like a guitar EADGBE?
Tuning is up a minor seventh from standard tuning: so DGCFAD. Played just like regular guitar. If you capo at 2nd fret you are up 1 octave from standard guitar
@@jeffvicenzi2650 Thank you, Jeff 🙏

What kind of tape are you using? Also, what is the model number of your air compressor and how quiet is it? Do you have any info on the venturi set up for the vacuum press? thanks for the video.
Venturi is from veneersupplies.com, basic model : www.veneersupplies.com/products/Vac-Pro-Venturi-Vacuum-Generator.html. Yellow tape is Frogtape delicate surface. Not sure of compressor model, but it is from California airtools and is super quiet. Mine has about at 2.5 CFM capacity and about a 6 gal steel tank. All of the california airtool compressors are very quiet. I put a 24 inch box fan by the compressor to help keep it cool, otherwise it can get rather hot because it is running nearly continuously. A somewhat larger compressor might be smarter (say 5 CFM) because then it wouldn't have to run as much. Also I adjust the pressure to about 80 psi

Please advise me to look out for when buying a scroll saw. Thanks!
One of the most important factors to consider in a scroll saw is the ease of releasing and reinstalling the blade, because you have to do that many times over the course of this work. It is also essential that the saw uses pinless style blades, which most do nowadays. I've got a Dewalt DW788 scroll saw and would recommend it. I could not find a less expensive scroll saw that I thought would work well. A handheld fret saw can be used as an alternative and is much less expensive and gives excellent control
1) A proper martini only needs 1 olive. It's a cocktail, not a salad bar. 2) Forceps and scalpels are very different. I didn't see any forceps in this video. 3) This was really slick and helpful. Nice job.
Glad you found it helpful. Indeed, I do accidentally call the scalpel a forceps, but I like 2 olives. Nothing tastes better than an olive soaked in gin.
I'm a fairly advanced woodworker mostly involving keepsake boxes. I decided to start learning marquetry. This is the best UA-cam vid on this subject bar none. While waiting for my veneer pack I built my donkey out of thick plexiglass. I like the vacuum bag set up but while start by clamping.
Glad you found it useful !
Just starting double bevel marquetry with hand fret saw, this method you provide is definitely a keeper- and loved the idea to make a matching set of coasters. Thanks for making the video.
Love your work and your videos and hope to see many more. Thanks.
Just found you site and subscribed. I can't speak to your musical abilities as I am pretty much tone deaf, but your marquetry is beautiful and I hope to see much more.
Thanks much Howard
My favorite Christmas song. Nice work Jeff
Your unique guitar sounds beautiful. I applaud your great performance. Have a comfortable Christmas. Thank you very much.
Where is my velvet robe...so smooth Nice work Jeff!
Thank you!
Thanks Jeff we really enjoy the song. Beautiful.
Hello. There is any effect in this presentation?
No effects other than maybe a little reverb. It is plugged into an acoustic amp. It has such a rich sound that it often does sound as though it has effects such as delay or chorus, but doesn't. Great instrument
Just got one of these amazing little instruments! So pleases with it! It's crazy that no other brand makes anything like it.
