11:04 - I didn't know Sean Lock faked his death so he could play in the back of the second violin section in Australia! Nah, great passionate performance. Very well done :)

Brava, Anna Dorothea! Superb agility, great fulllness of tone, highly sensitive and expressive singing in the Canzonetta - everything an impassioned Tchaikovsky lover could ever wish for!

I think comparing athletes to artists is completely stupid, athletes have risks of injuries, they don't practice that much because they want to stay fit for the next match instead of being exhausted, saying that artists are "athletes with superpowers" is completely untrue and wrong, if athletes do practice 8 hours a day, they would probably be dead by now. And I know from experience because I'm trying to learn the guitar & I was in a basketball youth club, and both are really different in their own ways.

“athletes have risks of injuries” erm you clearly have never played a real piano or have gotten calluses or blisters from a stringed instrument.

Im a violinist, and i can tell you from first hand experience that injuries do happen

Yes ik what you guys are talking about, my hands also hurt a lot when I play guitar, drums, ect, what I'm saying is that athletes have way worse injuries, like a broken bone, how bout the one time a football player accidentally got kicked in the face & swallowed his own tongue leading to him almost dying on the pitch? Is getting a blister worse than that? I know hundreds of injuries across a few sports that are deadly & life threatening, Listen, I don't want to start a fight here, all I wanna say is that I hope you guys understand that athletes & artists are way different, it's like comparing a banana to a carrot, they don't fit together.

@SilentTalksAboutMusic amd how often do those injuries happen? Swallowing your tongue after getting a kick to the face sounds like a 1 in a billion chance. And speaking from experience, violin is alot more taxing on the body than guitar (i can play guitar too) Sure you get blisters, but being able to play continuously for hours and hold the proper playing position and keep up the good posture can lead to many different problems. Ive had severe back, shoulder and neck pain due to something as simple as using a bad shoulder rest, its not easy but you have to just fake it, many do. many violinists get carpal tunnel syndrome and are prone repetitive strain injury, those are common.

@@randomperson5094 yes I understand, artists get injuries to, and while you are right swallowing a tongue is basically almost impossible, that doesn't mean other injuries can happened, there are thousands of football players for example who are currently injured and some can take up to a whole year, some even led players to forcely retire, and I'm only talking about footballers how bout other sports like boxing? listen ok, I'm not trying to be mean, all I'm trying to say is that comparing those 2 are stupid, artists aren't better than athletes or vice versa, they all are special in their own way, the artists/music industy doesn't have Messi or Ronaldo or LeBron, and the athletes/sports industry doesn't have David Bowie or The Beatles or Pink Floyd and ect, you can't just say that "oh haha I as a musician practice for 25 hours a day and you as an athlete only practice 1 second a year, that means I'm better than you because you can have massive injuries that can lead you to death if you practice as much as I do" it's idiotic.

Workouts are more physical and the point isn’t too loose all your energy as efficiently as possible either. But props for full work hours weather they are intermittent or not

How much sound can I dampen with a cloth? I mean can people still hear me in the other room. And does it also effect the tone of the violin?

They will most likely still hear, but not very loud. And, what's most important in my opinion: it doesn't change the sound of the violin or the intonation!!!
