Good rule to follow is: Don't use Level+2 until 3rd level. Don't use Level+3 until 7th level. Don't use Level+4 until 11th level. This is cause of how crits and damage scale. Single enemies high stats and lack of player options leads to more crits and easy deaths. Also Even the Encounter Building Rules suggest: "Encounters are typically more satisfying if the number of enemy creatures is fairly close to the number of player characters"

Also 3 action heal spell also heals enemies.

Using single high level enemies breaks the CR system slightly at low levels especially if the party doesn't have enough team work and doesn't have enough options (as usually is at low levels) it's better to have more enemies at lower levels but then this is doable for a balanced team.

Honestly, switching to PathFinger is the biggest bitch move ive ever seen, we should not jump ship, we should keep playing dnd without giving wotc money, so we can prove them that we have the power over dnd not them, and to all those PF players that are cocky because of the high amount of players changing to your little game have in mind that your game is so bad, everybody only switches to it because of a massive legal crisis, thats like getting cheated on by your hot gf before prom , so you go to prom dance with the ugly and fat chick of the class to make your ex jealous. And in this context, PathFinder is the ugly chick.

So moving to a more complicated, less enjoyable format because you want 100% of your profits after the first $1,000,000 instead of ‘just’ 75%? Weak, man.

Interesting, but since tic-tac-toe is usually a single line draw through 3 squares I was expecting a single cross-out move. Instead of selecting 2 sets of 3 numbers as you did (and benefitted from grabbing the highest number twice) only one set is eliminated by drawing a line through 3 squares and the 6 remaining numbers become the character's ability scores. Now the trick becomes how to eliminate the worse possible set and could make a much more interesting challenge. In this case crossing out the 3rd row consisting of 12, 13, 12 would have been the move to make. 12, 13, 15, 17, 18, and 18 (picking 2 sets as you did) 13, 14, 14, 15, 17, and 18 (eliminating 1 set with the alternate method described) It a bit like the 4d6 - lowest method for generating scores.
