Man I feel old now ☠ when I was 15 it was still a good few years before UA-cam would be a thing let alone it would be a natural goto for music. Self Titled Album was my introduction to Slipknot by my Brother, seen them live in 2012 with him 🤟 "If You're 555..."
@@psychosis7325 that’s a sick introduction to Metal. “Then I’m 666.”

@@sosiska-t2l I don’t really understand 😅 are you saying that I should speed run how fast I play?
Its beautiful...
@@Floppa_OG_YT thank u :)
I feel like his drums are tuned correctly, so they wouldn't get that weird pitch bend ugly sound lmao
@@ner.tan11 So the drums themselves are concert Toms. The heads are old and they need to be replaced. But I think the reason why the owner of the kit doesn’t want to change them is because those are the original heads that Neil himself used to play on. Maybe I’ll make a video asking the owner of the kit.
@@alexanderlicalzi9447 thanks for sharing! if that’s the case, hanging the heads up in his configuration might be a cool option! letting the drums sound like that isn’t doing them any justice, in my opinion. Especially if that really has parts of an old touring kit of his. If you could take note of the tuning, clean it up, and apply it to some new beater heads I think that’d be sick! All opinion, nothing is wrong if it’s for the sake of sentimentality. I’m a drummer so when I hear I kit sound funny I poke fun at it
Happy Birthday godbless🎉🎉🎉

Not sure what's the point of the video.. but I love slipknot and the way u drum and talk.. so. There goes my thumb
@@francescomarchesin5439 So this is a challenge that I set out for myself. I wanna say it’s more of a party trick than anything but I’m getting into music therapy and to be able to talk and play over yourself is an essential skill. To follow something and play with AND talk over it gives it that added level of concentration. But thank u for liking and commenting, I appreciate it :)
That's actually not entirely, inaccurate hahahaha 70s/early 80s drums have the literal, worst tones in drum history lol
@@antedote1 you’re not wrong
Hate how all the “tone checks” Are all the same. Who Gives af
@@skyritt15 these videos have been getting a lot of views on my channel. I don’t know why the UA-cam algorithm likes it but it does. I understand where you’re coming from, that’s why I tried to show off different kits. And plus, I hate this video, I messed up quite a few times and the tones are not really good either, but the algo likes it.

You might wanna check if there’s a screw loose in your floor Tom, it might be something else but something metallic is shaking when you hit it
@@dantat5713 oh everything is shaking when I hit it, I’m gonna let the owner know haha
First tom sounds too much like a tenor
@@GengarYes they are tenor toms, there’s no reso head
@@alexanderlicalzi9447 why have marching drums for normal toms
@@GengarYes so if you’re talking about the very first two Toms at the top of the kit then it’s mainly for resonance. So many drummers use Toms like these, on Taylor Hawkins kit (god rest his soul), he would use 3 very small Toms. If you were to put a redo head on those Toms it wouldn’t make them less resonant. When you a have a drum so small, you want a lot of resonance because the decay of the sound is very short especially when you tune it up really tight.
How did he get that floor tom and bass drum to sound like that
