I have one of the mowers but it has smartstow and battery powered.

Excellent video, I need to get on of these blades. Good to know about the left hand thread. Only other thing is put the cotter pin through the hole before opening. If it doesn’t fit get the correct size.

In the first 7 seconds this looks like an advert for Advanti saw blades. There's a rule - don't put a blade on a machine it wasn't made for. There's another rule - only use a blade on a machine designed or manufactured by the makers of the machine. The manufacturers of the machine and the blade bear no responsibility for use of their product outside of their recommendations. I haven't seen this video in its entirety, but there are some comments here that warn against attemptingt to adapt a machine for blade that wasn't designed for it; and their reasons are sound. Personally, I would not attempt this.

i HAVE A TORO SUPER RECYCLER WITH A DIFFERENT BLADE COVER. I MOVED THE BRIGGS ENGINE TO A CRAFTSMAN DECK AND ADDED AN ARNOLD EXTREME UNIVERSAL BLADE AND I SAW A FEW MINUTES USING THE ARNOLD BLADE THAT THE TOOTH ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BLADE GOT BENT. CAN AN ARNOLD EXTREME UNIVERSAL BLADE BE USED ON A CRAFTSMAN DECK. THE FUNNY THING IS THE CRAFTSMAN DECK WAS HIGHER THEN THE TORO BUT THE BLADE STILL GOT BENT. ANY IDEAS OTHER THAN DECK SPACERS OR A SHORTER BLADE ADAPTOR?

What is the purpose of the thing on the opposite side of the handle that you can unscrew? It has a spring in it. Does it change the pressure on how hard you have to squeeze?

did you remove spark plug before removing blade?

Using the 2 stoke gas won't hurt the machine. It will only make it smoke more. I don't recommend doing it but if you absolutely have to, it should be okay.
