    This stitch takes up a lot of yarn and it takes forever! It is impossible to pick up any speed! Maybe it's because I am using a smaller sized yarn or something idk. BUT it is what you say it is; a total game changer. So I will definitely be using it again. Just, maybe not for a shoulder bag strap...

    • @MrsStewartCC
      @MrsStewartCC 2 дні тому

      It for sure takes a lot of time. There is no getting around that BUT i prefer to take the extra time and have the sturdy strap. Definitely something to do when you have a few hours to spare....

    Thank you for this. I am finishing a Bible cover for my study Bible and she's a little heavy. But I prefer using it at church rather than the phone app or iPad. But was dreading the straps because I imagined how useless a usual stitch would be. I'm using silk yarn with a strand of nylon shimmer running through, so it's not as stretchy as acrylic, but due to the heaviness of the Bible, I knew it would need something more than the regular stitch. Thank you once again. ❤

    the yarn you used was smart because i did three squares all different colors and despite being the same yarn they turned out to be different sizes ! i guess this could also have been avoided by having the same amount of different colors in all squares

    • @MrsStewartCC
      @MrsStewartCC Місяць тому

      I learned the hard way to match up my yarn. Different colours are fine but the weight can vary brand to brand. I find some brands like caron, bernat and red heart can have the same weight on their tags, but still be slightly different in size and this can make a mess! I woild say try your best to stick to a brand in a project to avoid trouble
