Yung buong sayaw o ang choreo nila ay parang may kwento lalong lalo na sa rendition ng maranao at pangalay, at para sa lahat, nagcocontribute naman ito ng resilience, charm, and cultural recognition, as well as the rendition. all throughout the entire performance yung Singkil, kahit mapa-tinikling man yan, yung mga galawan nila ay may merong nauulit na rhythm. yung overall performance sa sayaw na ito, ay parang may hawak ng pamaypay ang babae haban gumagalaw talaga, iba talaga ang sayaw ng mga marano.

I'm a tausug. This performance is like a street dance rendition of pangalay and not the real one we used to practice in for centuries. The pangalay or kulintangan takes a lot of practice to master. It has fluid movements and the sound is more of repeated rythym all throught the performance. Yung climax ng dance is mostly balancing cups or babasagin sa ulo while performing. Di po kmi tumatakbo while performing. I am yet to see the real pangalay sa mainstream po, if it will not be continued it will go extinct. Thank you for representing mindanao. I hope a lot of younger generation appreciate our heritage
